Why would she think Vernon is dead?
Good point, but when Vernon steals the boat she is kidnapped, Christa and Omid could of easily just told her that he died.
In 400days they said they "lost" Vernon...he's probaply dead!
Didn't they say he abandoned them and took the boat for himself?
But she doesn't know that.... Anyway, it's next to impossible for that person to be Vernon.
Why?
Not because he's dead or anything like that.... But rather because they wouldn't have made such a big deal about it if it was him. Plus, the recent achievements show that we will indeed see an "old friend" in the next episode.
She really has no reason to think Vernon is dead. Christa couldn't tell her he is dead (maybe she lied but it would be totally stupid) as the last time she saw him he stole a boat and she probably believed it means he is safe.

No they didn't...and Vernon wouldn't make any sense anyway.
They didn't say it directly like that,but they said they lost Vernon to that boat.It could mean that he took the boat without them,liek you said.
