What if...
Christa and her baby died instead of Omid. Would it have as much impact? Would the story have changed? How would this event effect Omid's personalty? Give me your brain below.
P.S Not sure if anyone else made a similar thread, I'm not entirely sure how to navigate the history accurately...so sorry in advance.

Omid would probably be more protective of Clementine rather than teach her. Christa is survival to the extreme, whereas Omid leans on others for support.
Hmm... Interesting question.
I don't see Omid becoming completely introverted or anything like that, and it definitely would have had much more of an emotional impact. Wouldn't have changed much either in terms of the baby storyline(the baby is dead anyway so...)
I think Omid would have definitely become less of the happy fun guy we know... but not by a whole lot. I don't see his personality doing a total 180 like that. Honestly, I preferred Omid's character to Christa, but I don't think it would have made a more interesting story. Christa obviously became much colder after Omid's death, and this affected Clem quite a lot as well, giving the story an interesting angle.
Also, if my predictions are right... Then Christa losing the baby will be a key part in the story if she rejoins the group after Rebecca's baby is delivered(my prediction in a nutshell, Rebecca will die and Christa will ultimately end up caring for the baby, by the end of Episode 5, Christa will sacrifice herself to save the baby).
I can't see many interesting storylines like the being created if Omid had survived instead. As much as I loved Omid, I think it's better that he died. Of course, he could have just not died at all, that would have been good too. Then again I suppose that his death served the purpose of showing that it would be much darker, explain why Christa and Clem are now the way they are, etc, etc.

I think Omid may not be the strongest person in the world but I also think that after Christa's Death he would remain the same cause he has a strong personality.
After all the "Do you need a hand Lee?" Jokes by Omid when Lee cuts off his arm i wouldn't be surprised.

Well guys...i liked bromid too but...let's face the facts. Christa was a better surviver than he was. And by better I mean like thousand times better. It was good that she survived instead of him i think. But...maybe if omid had survived...he would probably try to find a group i thin.
To be honest.
Both are not good to take care of Clementine.
1) She can take care of herself

I mean, they leave little clem alone in a post-zombie a-pock-lips TOILET without even verify the presence of any kind of threat to have some boogie-woogie.

I actually sort of agree with that statement. I'm not sure if Christa is thousand time better at surviving, but defiantly the better survivalist as she is the more cautious and leader-like of the two. @Omid might be able to answer our questions!
Omid leans on others for support? I thought he was the one usual supporting others by easing the situation with his witty jokes. Unless you mean when he was injured or when he refused to jump...
No, what I mean is that he is the one who always wants to be with a group and believes in strength in numbers. Christa is a lone wolf.

I like your theory on Christa and Rebbecca's baby I can actually see that happening.
Yeah it hard to see a dark and cold Omid. I can see him maybe depressed but still trying to keep a level head by joking all the time. Otherwise mean Omid is impossible in my mind. And I agree Omid's death plays a greater role then Christa's (hypothetical) does storyline wise.
Is it possible the baby was stolen instead of dead? Ok now that I type it It sound a bit out there but who knows?

It's possible... The fact that there are two achievements for the new episode called "Old Friends" and "Reunion" makes me think that maybe we'll see both Kenny and Christa. Old Friends sounds more like a Season 1 character, and Kenny is really the only one who makes sense there(Lilly I suppose, but not many people would call her a friend. It could be ironic?), Reunion maybe refers to something more recent, like being separated from Christa? Either way, when we do meet Christa again, maybe we'll find out then(some bonding scene between her and Rebecca at the end of E2 or in E3?)
HONESTLY, I think it would've been better... Because idk.. Omid is such a cute character always smiley and ready to cheer people up.
Deep down Christa was blaming Clemmy for Omid's death but Omid would've never done that.

I think Christa's beloved, deceased baby will play a major role in Clem's story later on, so I have a feeling it will impact the story far more than had Omid survived in Christa's place.
