Short Episodes

Why are the episodes so freakin short??????????

Comments

  • An hour fifty is short?

  • To keep us in suspense and eager for the next episode. It also probably helps with their storytelling, it helps keep a good pace and have meaningful developments, rather then filler.

  • I felt the pacing was perfect. Much more focused and intense.

  • I thought this episode was just the right length.

  • I think it was good, Ep.2 took me about 2 hours to complete and i feel like it ended on the right scene. They kinda gotta end the episode on a cliffhanger everytime so we can get exited for the next episode.

  • This one actually felt longer than episode 1. It's still shorter than season 1's episode 2, but it was good anyway.

  • It just seems like each episode should be at least around 3 hours long for the wait you have in between. I guess I just don't like episodes. Too impatient. lol

  • Has anyone heard when episode 3 will possibly be coming out?

  • Absolutely it's a problem. For the DLC to be so short it's understandable. But this is SEASON 2. Come on Telltale. I did some research on my season 1 play through looking at the time I got the achievements, and this is what came out through two episodes of both seasons.

    Season 1:
    EP 1: 1 hour : 50 minutes
    EP 2: 2 hours 30 minutes

    Season 2:
    EP 1: 1 hour 10 minutes
    EP 2: 1 hour 40 minutes

    Get your stuff together Telltale.

  • this episode did not feel that short to me. one thing people seem to forget is what made the first season feel longer was the puzzles. telltale is trying a diffrent paceing style and the lack of puzzles helps that paceing.

  • Yeah Peachy, that's what I thought....they just seemed shorter to me so far. I agree with you...at this rate with 5 episodes....only about 10 hours (or less) of game play all together for the entire season ...just not enough. :-(

  • How did you take so long in Season 1 EP 1? for me it was around 1 hour and 50 min or 2 hours.

  • I thought this episode had the pace down perfect. It had action and character development, but still always felt like we were moving forward. Nothing felt random or forced in to extend the time like some puzzles or event in some of the older episodes.

  • This was probably my favorite episode in the series so far, though it's hard to choose. I felt the pacing was perfect, the length was fine, and the multitude of outcomes based on choices was a nice touch.

  • So people are going to be happy if they throw random puzzles around that take 10 mins to figure it out

  • Lol no.

  • the new episode took me about 2 hours to complete, that's ok for me. and besides the delay and the problems with the tt-store version for mac i really liked this epsiode but i'm not keen yet on the new direction the gameplay is heading to. playing twd feels more and more like a movie where you can take here and there a little action (aka decision) for me.

  • Totally agree. It is good that they got rid of the puzzles. They were immersion breakers to me. What makes this interesting is the story and the choices, not puzzles.

  • I think the episode had a good length, just almost 2 hours long and plenty to replay and do things differently.
