CARVER "Spoilers"
So what did you think of him?
I'm not sure what to think, he obviously comes across as a main villain but he makes claims that Clementine has no idea who the cabin survivors are and they shouldn't be trusted and that Alvin killed a man called George in cold blood. Carver only kills Walter and Alvin in reaction to Kenny killing Johnny and his refusal to stop shooting at him, he doesn't kill them for no reason.

He also brutally tortures Carlos by breaking his fingers and beating the shit out of him, though. =/ Plus if Clementine tries to stop him from killing Carver, he just hits her in the stomach and uses her as a human shield, threatening to kill her.
Speaking of episode 2, so Kenny's dead eh? d:
I found him menacing. Plus the torture and executions kinda make me think of him as being a thoroughly distasteful person.
As for Alvin killing George? We have no idea what happened there, so judgement is reserved for now.
Yes he is bad and mean etc but we don't know for sure yet if he is pure evil.
As for Kenny well I'm sure he'll be dead again ok.
Still, what if he's not? You seemed pretty sure he was dead last time. >.>
But yes, I think Carver's....just been turned into a bad man.
I find him fascinating. He's obviously insane, but I wonder if there might be a good reason for that. I've started to suspect that he's a slave holder or something in that camp of his, and that's why the "cabin group" fled.
(In my playthrough) Walter saved the life of the person who killed his partner. He's a bigger man than I am.
Carver executing a person of such calibre is not something I will forget and will be hard-pressed to forgive. I do not trust him, nor do I put much faith in the cabin group. I also find his apparent Old Testament leadership tactics ("Love me or feel my wrath.") to be contemptible and dangerous.
I may not like him, but I certainly take him seriously and will consider whatever he has to say regarding the people who Clementine is currently with.
After Savannah, my Clementine is weary of anyone she meets and she and I are most certainly weary of Carver. I imagine her to be more merciful than I would be, so if it came down to it, and she had Carver dead-to-rights, I think she'd let him go.
(Also, after the way I played her, I am thoroughly disappointed in Bonnie. >=I)
It was just to wind you Kenny fans up.
I don't like his personality either, he was alright in the house but at the end it was just same old typical bad guy stuff taking people hostage that I've seen on TV many of times, nothing new.
I hope Clem finds a machine gun and takes care of them AND the cabin survivors, can't stand them either!
I think it's too soon to have a definite opinion about Carver, yet. We shall see when ep 3 comes out. Personally I hope he won't be the typical bad guy.
"you Kenny fans". I personally didn't take part in the Kenny confirmed spamming. I did however brag about how I was right to you since you decided to 'wind me up'. d:
Whatever man, it's settled now.
It's not a big deal, I'm just exercising my bragging rights lol.
Tell Tale is good with characters so I trust they will be smart enough to have something different with Carver to the stereo types. The Stranger from season 1 was the main villain but he was just a dad on his own out for revenge which was done very well, not some Governor type character.
Let's just move on, aight.
Are there any characters in season 2 that you actually like so far? Lol.
So far, it seems like Carvers motives MIGHT be justified and Clementine's group might actually be the 'bad guys'. But the way Clementine's group acts and the way Carver acts makes it seem like that's not the case. Still, Carver saying that Clementine shouldn't trust her group and Carver commenting on how Alvin apparently killed someone in cold blood, someone who might be a good friend to Carver since he uses that man's name(George) if you ask for his name in the cabin, all of that makes me think there might be more to the situation than just "Carver is the bad guy".
Sure.
The possibility of Carver being a good man went out the window when he held a gun to Clementine's head. Sorry, but no good man would do that to a child.
Nah they're all a bunch of jerks if I'm honest. I think Clementine and Kenny should just meet up and leave all these new people at the first chance and go in search of the 400 days group and hopefully get a ride off Nate in his badass truck on the way, that would be an interesting road trip! lol Plus Nate can be the main bad guy too.
Yeah that's do me.
Eh, I like them. It looks like they just came off so hostile to Clementine because they were worried she might have been with Carver, who they seem terrified of(and clearly for good reasons).
I remember noticing Clementine had the chance to grab Carvers gun when he came to the house.
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that all this time , Luke's group were the bad guys. We don't know the full story yet , and nobody in Luke's group wanted to tell us why Carver is after them , so ... for now I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
Carver is the main antagonist here. he killed those people by the river. he is the guy in russell story i think. he is a total badass, i like him alot, and i know kenny vs carver moment at the end of ep 2 was epic in my opinion
He is definately not a good man.
In my opinon he is a lot like the governor from the series, an evil madman but a good leader.
Those who stick to him and don't cross him survive. Bonnie must have noticed that.
She also had a chance to grab a knife. It didn't go too well, so I think it was smart for her to not try to. xD
I hope ep. 3 has more of a backstory on Carver, explaining his reasoning behind him hunting the cabin group.
I'm wondering if the cabin group may have done some serious stuff to his group, so that could of caused him to snap.
Carlos does spit on his face after Carver saves them from the mini herd with their ak's. I might just break someones fingers also if they spit on my face after I saved their asses. Maybe there's more to this dispute but Carver never says. Maybe the cabin group's previous actions changed him into a bad guy.
Carver is like a mix of the Governor and Negan to me. Offers a safe place, knows how to pretend to be a good guy, but is very savage, inhuman, refuses to show any signs of weakness or let anyone who got out of his camp stay out of his camp. Also, did you notice the way he treats Clementine in the Ep. 3 preview? It's like he was trying to take her under his wing. (Sort of like how Negan was to Carl in the comics)
i think lukes group would have to have been pretty bad to be the outright bad guys out of the two groups, it sort of seems to me like carver ran the group like a cult and lukes group wanted to escape and in the process Alvin killed george, and there is no way you are getting away with leaving the cult and killing a follower especially if one of the people that left is carrying the cult leaders baby
If Kenny shoots him when he's about to shoot Alvin, he just fucking gets up like someone pushed him over, it's terrifying. xD
Agreed completely. Walter saved Nick; he kept his wits about him and did what he thought was right. I don't see myself ever forgiving Carver just for that.
I wonder how big Carver's camp is? I don't think there's many people in it because in the preview for the next episode you don't see any new characters and he seems to go out on his own like scouting and only hunting with 3 other people. If he is the leader of a big camp I don't think he'd be going out on potentially dangerous missions, he'd have to stay at the camp and run things, sending others out to do the dangerous stuff.
Yep, and now "us Kenny fans" get to brag about it since it was him.
Carver is probably my favorite villain in The Walking Dead Franchise already. He actually seem to be a reasonable man. A horrible, cruel, yet reasonable man.
who thought that Carlos was gonna lose an ear?
