Why were Clem and Christa so worried about winter?

edited March 2014 in The Walking Dead

I mean obviously I know why, but didnt a year and 4 months pass since Omid died? they have already been through a winter and obviously survived it ( yet seemingly did not manage to keep hold of warm clothing? ) so why was Christa talking to Clem about winter like its something they have not faced already?

  • Huh, never thought of that actually. It is a bit strange. Perhaps they had warmer clothing back in the Winter and lost it thanks to some bandits or Walkers? Just throwing it out there.

Plus Clem could really do with a coat now. Would be nice to have the player character have a change of appearance. As did Lee in Episodes 1, 2 and 3.

  • lee only changed once in episode 2?

  • Winters in the northern areas of the United States are considerably colder than the south U.S. In the north, there are more snowstorms and ice storms. The temperatures in the south are usually between 10 and 20 degrees celcius while in the north might not even reach zero.

His outfit in Episode 3 is actually not the same one from the first episode (though very similar). He's wearing beige pants and a white layer shirt that extends to his wrists under the blue shirt he wore in the first episode.

  • That was just a random quote, it has no substance to the conversation at hand......reported.

  • They wouldn't hold onto weighty items that are fairly useless so they could use them 7 months later, or at least I would expect them to. Also they are going north and as we all know when you go further north it gets colder

  • I freeking would, plus a large coat has other uses

    Pillow
    Blanket
    used to make bandages
    fire fuel if needed
    conceal guns

  • I wouldn't, they don't need pillows or blankets, they are unneeded luxuries and they wouldn't keep them for uses not directly necessary for survival. Also if they were used for bandages or fuel for a fire they wouldn't be usable or would be completely used up by the time winter rolled back around, so even if they did keep them for those reasons it is pretty self explanatory as to why they don't have them anymore.
