"Told ya!" (Spoilers)

edited March 2014 in The Walking Dead

This is the official Told ya thread, for all people who "knew it".

You can let it all out, now ;)

Edit: 1. Yes, I am referring to the ITYWD person
2. You can post other stuff you have sensed before and now has been confirmed.
3. I assume the downvoters are just bitter as they have been wrong.

  • Alrighty, I am first:

    Told ya!!!!

  • Are you referring to Kenny returning?

  • I told ya that the watch will be a positive plot advancement rather than they will accuse clem as a thief

  • I am referring to Kenny returning, however I am interested in all the other things people have sensed before.

  • I left the watch in the cabin :(

  • I still stick by that choice to leave it. My Clem is not a thief, although I was glad that it was bought up.

  • I see. In that case, I did guess it would be either Kenny. Christa would not have been a big reveal, given how we do not know her fate. Kenny was the only logical choice, given how it was assumed he was dead but none actually saw it.

Me too. I almost took it because of the "take everything that you can grab" impulse I've learned over the years playing adventure games, but decided not to because this is a moral choices based game.

If the option comes up again though, I'll go with my instinct to not grab it since the odds of the circumstances that led to Clem taking the watch being treated as a good thing were definitely slim (since if the events had played out differently at the end of episode 1, the reaction towards Clem having the watch would be very different). Plus, I doubt the writers at Telltale would have the consequences of theft play out the same way twice.

I am not a Kenny fan, but noone has seen him die and people thought it couldn't be Kenny as it would be the very first assumption and thus too obvious TT making him the ITYWD person. On the other hand, the forum has been filled with lots of fights between Kenny-hardliners and the "He's dead - deal with it"-front. His return was possible and I somehow knew it as it makes a good story with the ambigious feelings people have for him.

"I told ya the watch belonged to Nick"... well, technically it belonged to Pete, but now it belongs to Nick.

And..."I told ya Nick and Luke were.. 'together'

Alt text ". Or at least, Kenny seems to think so.

I stole the watch by accident and was worried at first but after thinking about it for a while i figured that stealing it could be a good thing and it turned out to be true :)

After you cross the bridge you can talk to Nick he goes to check the time and realises he left his watch back at the cabin and it was very sentimental to him as to belonged to Pete, you then have the option to give him the watch which makes him happy and thankful.

As much as I am happy to see Kenny again, I have to agree. He felt incredibly forced, and almost every dialogue option was practically built for massaging the radical Kenny fans' cocks. They probably wanted to tease the Kenny community more but the forum debates scared them to submission. That said, there actually seems to be a point for that, so we will have to find out.

Honestly when the machine guns fired, my eyes opened wide. I really wished Lilly to be among Carver's folks at the end. I was on the edge of my seat, waiting, waiting, waiting, but got blue balls. No Lilly. Damn it. That felt so unsatisfying.

I just wanted them both back... Though we can still hope for her to appear later. I sure would love a "Save Lilly or Kenny" decision, too.

I still can't believe Telltale caved in and gave these Kenny fanboys what they wanted. Why Telltale why?

  • I bursted in to laughter when Kenny showed up, then suddenly feels came up and I bursted into tears

  • OK, I was assuming he would ask where I got it from and blaming me for stealing it.

  • I was surprised by my own happiness when I saw Kenny, as I have always felt indifferent to him. When Clementine hugged him I instantly warmed up to him though, and now I trust him the most, as the group seems to have a shady past...

I have to admit that I am a bit careful... The way he snapped towards Sarita really eorried me, also his odd comments about Luke and Nick being together and his overreacting.

  • Fucking telltale.

They really bend over backwards for a bunch of fanboys don't they?

  • I TOLD ALL YOU MUTHAFUCKAS! Kenny :D

  • People thought it was Lilly and Victor LOL.

  • I told ALL OF Y'ALL!

  • i had tears of pure joy

  • It was nice to see Kenny again

Are you referring to Kenny returning?

  • they didn't do it for the fanboys they did it to advance the story, also they already most likely had kenny picked already since they work on the episode one month before the episode previous to it was released. also do you really think they would have brought anyone but kenny? seriously he was the most logical they could have done other than christa but she had just left she wouldn't return an episode later after she had just gotten taken out

That was clever writing on Telltale's part. The whole episode was a masterpiece,in my opinion. And that was actually, kinda, reverse psychology, right? You thought it would be bad,but it wasn't.I LOVED that thing.I took the watch(GUILTY),but being able to give it to Nick was just so satisfying.I love Nick, and i hope he'll live for a while longer...

Oh,one more thing, has anybody else appreciated the fact that even Kenny ships Nick and Luke as much as me?Because that's one of the things i absolutely LOVE.It was awesome.
