edited March 2014 in The Walking Dead

What do they think they do?

  • Only problem I can see slightly wrong with this episode the the lack of hubs. I'd like a bit more option conversation, but even this episode wasn't bad. Especially when compared to episode 1

  • ^ I 100% agree with Viva-La-Lee. Though, the episode didn't quite reach the 120 min. mark, it still had lots of stuff going on which made it feel longer. Episode 1 didn't really make me feel this way.

  • Oh, it's you again...whenever your name pops up on my screen I picture your face as this guy now, lol.

They could easily have buffed the length of the episode, even with simple dialog, why not have a proper conversation between Clem and kenny explaining what happened with Lee in Savannah, and maybe and explaination of how Kenny escaped the hole/ alley. Also I think some more character development with Alvin and Carlos would have been nice.

For what it's worth, @Puzzlebox mentioned that the waiting time for Episode 3 is "almost certain" to be shorter over Twitter.

I personally thought the Episode was still short, but was much more eventful and dramatic than Episode 1, which made the wait worth it.

  • They could have easily made it longer. Cabin = Control Clem to walk upstairs instead of using a cutscene to get into the room where sarah takes a picture. Let us explore some more around the Cabin while just looking for random things to click at. Have option to drink water or eat some snacks after being outside for almost 2 days. House at the bridge = more conversations with alvin, rebecca or sarah. Ski lodge = more exploration and conversations with sarah, sarita or kenny. That could have easily made it a 2 hour 30 minutes episode without needing to add many files into the game.

  • I have no problem with the playtime, as long as it keeps fascinating me.
To be honest I hardly can call this here a game, but more of an experience.
It is way better than any movie out there, and less exhausting than a book :D

So yeah, maybe the episodes did get shorter, but they're also more intense I think.

  • I have a feeling the next episode will be one big hub in Carter's community where Clem will have to gain trust and acquire certain things for the cabin group's next move. Maybe even a giant herd attack.

  • There's no question the episode was short. Season 1, episodes 3,4, & 5 all had more drama/action than this past episode. That said, I enjoyed it. I just find it nearly impossible to review each episode individually like last season, without either praising or knocking it for how one PERCEIVES the story will ultimately turn out. This season is really just one long single episode segmented into 5 parts. Telltale did such an excellent job bringing some closure to the end of each episode last season, and hope they do it over the next few episodes.
