VERY Pleasantly Surprised
I went into episode 2 fearing the worst. I was pissed about the false choices of episode 1, I was pissed about Kenny (and still sort of am, but not as much as I used to be), I was worried that Clem would change her pitch maybe once in the episode, like she did in episode 1, and I was worried that the story wouldn't really go anywhere.
All of my fears were put to bed. Clem sounded human again, the story was great, Kenny was handled in a decent way, though I did start to feel a bit creeped out when Ken was in the center of pretty much every shot just after his reveal. Like we needed the first 10 minutes of his arrival to stare him down. I guess that beard is just hard to accept.
Actually, to go on a bit of a tangent, that beard is the worst part about him. It looks greasy, and its shine works weirdly. One time, there was light behind the guy, and the front of his beard was gleaming... Odd.
I'm still pissed about the false choices of episode 1, but now, not only do you get to decide one character's fate, but TWO. And in not obvious ways, either. So all is forgiven there, and then some.
I haven't even mentioned the awesome development here. Nick is great, Luke is great, Alvin is great, Rebecca is great. Fuck, need I go on? I'm really happy that my qualms with it were actually fixed instead of ignored. Keep it up, TTG! ^_^

Good to hear positive things. Reception of this episode has been, as far as I know, mostly positive, but it is tempting to always focus on what we perceive as negatives. Have a thumbs-up! And a Clem gif!! And CHEESE!!!
Gee whizz, its almost as if we as the consumers are trying to give critique in order to better the game! You know, like how friendships work unlike loners who suck up to everyone!.....Loool Naaaah we're just being 'trolls' amirite?
As a matter of fact, I am also doing that in other threads. However, I also love me some optimism.
It's hard to focus on the negatives when there aren't many! ^_^
I'm just sorta worried about Carver. Not about what will happen to our people, I know that will be satisfyingly horrible, but I'm worried about his people... I have a rule of thumb, you judge a villain by his home. If he's a dictator, that's obviously a prick through and through, not allowing freedom to his own people, he's a bad villain. If not, he could be good. If Carver has a good home, then he'll be a great villain, but if he doesn't... I won't like him much.
Wait, hold up, I actually do have a problem. I can't change my profile picture to Nick!
The mods were talking about maybe having TT release some S2 official avatars. You need to use a gravatar for the moment.
Damn. I can't stand gravatar... Puzzle Agent it is for now, I guess.
I think it's great how they have quite a few determinant characters...Or I would, if I thought said characters have any chance of being relevant to the plot now that it's possible for them to be dead. I'd have super respect for Telltale if they made the determinant characters actually matter, but I don't see it happening.

I really really hope Nick survives long enough to be relevant.
