She's probably one of Carver's prisoners, and doesn't want to work with him but he forced her to or else he'd kill her. That's what I think happened, at least.

I don't think so. Why would he give her a machine gun then? or send her as a scout? I don't think she is good just because she was a protagonist before.
With just a small role in this ep she became probably the third most talked about character. Whatever people like her or hate her she is definitely intriguing.
I think there is more to the story that we will find out. I think Bonnie is probably living in fear and going along with Carver because she knows she can't escape him or he does bad things to people who betray him. He's turning out to be as bad if not worse than the Governor.
