You join the rest of the hostages. Nothing happens to Carlos...except a few broken fingers.

No kidding. If you choose to go find Luke and Kenny, his face looks like an eggplant once Clem and Kenny give themselves up.
It's impossible for Carlos to die. Alvin and Nick are determinant. Walter dies no matter what. Just clearing that out, even though you probably knew that already.
