Doing something good that ends up going bad is acceptable doing something bad then rewarding the player for it? Possibly the dumbest thing TTG has done since the snow white thing
Yeah it was stupid. It makes everyone think it'll bite us on the ass later on after all the trust issues speculation after Carver's talk in the trailer.
It was Nicks watch.

Exactly, it doesnt fit the narrative flow and punishes players for being able to read the situation.
I dont know whats worse, the writer thinking they were being edgy or the apologists who will sprout the "omg consequences realism blah blah blah" failing to realise its a story.

LMMFAO 8-o
That's exactly my attitude playing Fallout, I end up carting round hundreds of pounds of various junk, scouring every room I'm i… moren, but in RL you don't have Lee's TARDIS pockets where you can shove a car battery or an oxy torch down your pants and have room for more because Lee's pants are bigger on the inside
-_-
I'm torn on whether to take it or not. I'm going to replay all of S2 once Episode 3 comes out, but the only thing I'm not sure on is whether to take the watch or not.
On one hand, Clementine is visibly upset at stealing the watch. But Nick is incredibly happy if he gets it back.
Ironically I took the watch because I hated the group in episode one and wanted to drum up more drama between Clem and them in the next episode and when I saw it turn into a touching moment with Nick I was happy but also slightly disappointed, lol. I wonder what happens if you are pure evil and keep the watch from him.

So I'm not sure what to do.
The more important question is, if you do take the watch, does it allow you to give it back to Nick when he's being a pussy about how its the last thing he has of Pete's? (Sorry I hate Nick, all I see is another Ben in him) I remember kind of wishing I had taken it, just so I could give it to him.

Yeah I took it, but when he mentioned it, I didn't give it back. He survived Ep 2 for me though so hopefully I will have another chance of giving it to him in Ep 3.

I thought it was Carlos's watch, and I considered this as revenge against the worst doctor in the entire universe who's idea was to lock an injured young girl in a shed without a second thought. Then it was revealed to be Nick's, so I gave it to him.
It was nice seeing how happy he was.
I'm going to replay from the beginning because my saves got messed up, and I'm sticking to most of my decisions but this time I'm taking the wrist watch so I can give it to Nick.
Comments
The watch wasn't Carlos lol. If you save Nick he will tell you it was Pete's watch no Carlos.
It was Nicks watch.

I left the watch Clem is no thief. Besides I don't know what she could use it for.

Exactly. S1 just taught us a lesson that we shouldn't steal from people but now I lost a scene just because I didn't steal!
I took it and I'm glad I took it.:)
Bzzt. WRONG
Too bad I can't keep the juice box for later as well. I'd squirt it in Carver's eyes.
Indeed.
I think that was actually photoshopped but I'm too lazy to check for sure.

Rly? I thought it was real though XD
Its not stealing. Clem said that she found it in the cabin

It isn't stupid
It not being what you expected doesn't make it stupid, dawg
That isn't being a pussy whatsoever. Then again, judging a guy who is trying is stupid as it is

Does anyone have a video of Clementine giving Nick the watch? I haven't seen one yet and am curious to see the dialogue
Why wait to give it back? Hard to imagine later attempts not being awkward.
I kinda feared that he would get pissed at me for taking it in the first place, but now that I think back on it, I made the wrong call.
The real lesson is 'don't steal except from people who lock you in a friggin shed when you have a dog bite infection.'
Ehmm where is the watch? I never found it
In a drawer back in the cabin. in a room where's bandages.
Do i look lika fucking thieve? I didn't took that!

I took the watch because it reminded me of Lee's. But when the time came, I had no qualms against giving it back to Nick.
