A recurring theme with Clementine and Teachers... (Spoilers)

edited March 2014 in The Walking Dead

Clementine seems to be cursed to constantly find friendly and really good hearted people who are also teachers of some kind, who offer to teach her, only to end up dying tragically before they can fulfill their promise.

Man, this is getting really depressing.

The moment Walter offered to teach Clementine I was immensely sad, as I was almost certain he was going to die shortly afterward.

Is anyone else getting this recurring vibe of good natured teachers dying all around Clem?

  • ... Was Omid a teacher in cannon? I thought that was just my head cannon that he was an 8th grade history teacher. :D

  • I'm pretty sure Omid was some kind of history professor, like Lee.

  • It only makes the game more depressing which is part of what the Walking Dead is meant to be all about.

  • All three of these guys were badasses. You shall be remembered. But another thing that reoccurs is that, everyone who kills them ends up dying.

  • So, there isn't a way to save Walter? Even if you tell Kenny not to shoot?

  • Are you telling me Clem will die because she killed Lee?

In that circumstance, Kenny shoots anyway. After Carver executes Walter Kenny can learn/realize trying to shoot his way through a hostage situation is a bad idea (if you tell him not to shoot when he brings out Alvin).

  • Technically, he was killed by the Stranger, because he would've never been in danger if he hadn't kidnapped Clem. And not everyone kills Lee.

  • Walter...such a good guy...
