The way i read it is that the person talking to him is saying that they like Kenny more in season 1 but Gavin is saying that they might like the season 2 Kenny more after the next episode, so maybe he becomes more heroic in the next episode.
I'm thinking Kenny will really open up to Clem a lot more in EP3 if Gavin's saying we'll warm up to him even more.
I'm thinking he'll drop the fake cheerful persona and really talk to Clementine about how he's feeling.
At this point I've no doubt that he'd risk his life for Clem without second thoughts, too.

That scene filled me with happiness and joy, seeing Kenny give himself up for Clem.
Of course, him being hauled off to a prison camp along with everyone else immediately after was kind of downer.
The fact that we are apparently going to like Kenny even more after episode 3, suggests that if its true that we dooooo have to make the decision between choosing kenny or luke... It is going to much harder because we will like them both so much!

I don't know. Luke finally proved that he wasn't a perv in this episode and the way that him and Clem just clicks, works for me. Lee was Clem's father, while Luke is like her older brother (metaphorically). To add, Kenny would have to open up to Clem, because no matter who you chose, Clem just wasn't that phased by seeing Kenny. Sure, she was happy at first, but then that was it. I'm not sure that Kenny could do anything to make me like him even more as a character. So, in that I hope Luke is the one chosen, because if we DO have to choose between the two of them, then that means that ONE has to die.

Your opinion can be backed up when you see Carver hold Clem at gun point, and Kenny immediately surrenders.
