Who do you want as a group now?
I'm so conflicted.. What I want is for Clem, Kenny, and Luke to be a group. The pregger woman has too much drama, I never really liked Walt, I liked Kenny's old wife too... so I'm pretty against his now-wife. Nick. Oh Nick. I think he's a good dude, but way too damn emotional for the apocalypse.
I like Luke. He's a sweetheart and not totally useless.
And we all know about Kenny.
Kenny, Clem, Luke. That's my vote.

My ideal group would be Clementine, Kenny, Luke, Sarah, Christa, Carlos, Rebecca, Baby, Bonnie, Vince, Wyatt, Eddie.
I think by S3 we'll be left with Clementine, Kenny, Luke, Sarah, Baby, Bonnie/Eddie(Carley/Doug scenario), 400 Days characters(at least a few, I'm not sure who though).
Mine would be:
Kenny, Clem, Luke, Vince, Eddie, Carlos and Sarah.
Mine would be:
Luke, Clem, Sarah, Carlos, Alvin, and baby (of remaining characters).

Uh... I was okay with Luke, until he told Nick to keep things quiet about Matthew and put Clem up to hiding the survival knife. Seems pretty underhanded and dishonest to me.
Also, when Nick tells you about going into business with Luke, you get the feeling that Luke doesn't plan things and his lack of consideration drags his friends down with him. That was also a nice moment that established Nick as a loyal friend who will stick by those he cares about even if it destroys him.
Finally, Luke just up and disappears because him and Kenny argue? WTF. Carver didn't seem surprised by it either ("so, Luke finally bailed" or something like that)... Luke's not sweet to me, he's starting to come across as very dishonest and wishy-washy. Not somebody I'd want to stand with during the ZA.
As for my choice, I'd want Clem with Kenny, his wife, and Nick (even though him and Kenny wouldn't get along). I don't trust her with any of the others. The others are terrible group members in my eyes because:
Alvin seems too willing to sacrifice everybody else to protect his wife/baby (understandable, but still... very disloyal to the group).
Rebecca is preggo and that's just a mountain of problems in and of itself (then add in that she is not diplomatic at all makes her an enormous liability).
Carlos is worthless between his shoddy medical knowledge and one response approach to parenting (i.e., "Stay inside!") and Sarah is too "out of it" to really trust with any kind of stress or responsibility.

Well Nick is probably going to die soon if you did actually save him in episode 2. Carlos apparently is HATED and DESPISED by Carver. Kenny is probably going to get himself killed with his attitude. So Luke and Clem are probably the most likely to survive and sorry to bash down on your group dude.

I'm not sure about Kenny or Luke. I feel like Luke ran away because he knew that Carver was coming or something on those lines, but Kenny also seems kind of different... I don't quite know.
Honestly? I don't care either way. He is an interesting character,but nothing overly special about him. That coupled with his mental state I'd just as soon not have him as a companion.

I don't think Luke ran away. I think he's just hiding for now, trying to devise a plan to save Clem and the rest.
I wouldn't mind if Kenny and Sarita joined up with the cabin group (and that kind of happened anyway). I liked the little interactions Sarah and Sarita had and feel it could be very illuminating for both characters (I loved Sarah's comment regarding Good King Wenceslas; her father doesn't give her enough credit). And Kenny and Nick are bound to amuse me to no ends if nothing else. I also still want to see more interactions between the cabin members in general.
I agree. Hopefully, I don't get hated on for this, but she reminds me of S1 Clem.
Great choices with even better reasons behind them. The only disagreement is that Luke did not bail and run away. I don't think he would do that to Clementine but, then again me nor you have no evidence behind this theory. Another theory going around is that Kenny bailed/betrayed Luke and left him to die because he was complaining as kenny stated whenever he was to tell you what happened. But, other then Luke I agree with all of your choices.
I saved Nick. I told Walter he is a good guy, because in my eyes, I wholeheartedly believe that. We don't know what Telltale will do as they did say that our choices will matter more this season. And many parts of "A House Divided" was unexpected (at least to me), even with over two months time of speculation after "All That Remains" premiere. So before assuming that my ideal group will die, let's just enjoy the ride of the next episodes and see what happens.
By the way, I'm a gal, haha.

Yeah, sorry about that. Well, I wasn't assuming that your group was going to die I was only mere predicting what I think will happen to the characters in your group. You also forgot about the 400 days group. Keep in mind they probably will play a HUGE role in season 2 for, they already have introduced Bonnie as a not so good person but, it did look like Clem was making friends or even peace with Bonnie.

Yeah, I also don't really believe Luke bailed (and I figure he'll be back, likely to try to save the others). It's just the unwillingness to tell Walter the truth and what Carver said about him, along with how he kept putting Clem in danger (bridge, climb up to look out), makes me a lot less inclined to trust him. That and the fact that TTG loves to mess with us by giving us deceptive first impressions (e.g., Sam the dog, the St. John's in S1). That suspicion isn't just limited to Luke either... I figure Kenny might disappoint a lot of his fans somehow, or Sarah might be useful and more badass than most of us predict she will be. Who knows, by the end of it all, Rebecca might go full Rambo in pregnant rage and wipe out Carver's whole camp...
I predict that Luke heard the gunshots so I predict that he put two and two together and had figured out that Carver had come but, Kenny coming back without Luke is beyond me.

I love horror games! Especially with zombies. But of course, Telltale's version of this type of universe is my favourite. 'The Last of Us' is a very close second though.

I'm at the very least hoping for the end of episode 4. There's just too much they could do with her character to write her off too quickly.
