General Thoughts on Episode 2

edited March 2014 in The Walking Dead

Overall I really liked it. I wish there was more "action" in terms of having stuff to do in order to accomplish something - it just felt like all I had to do was fight off a few walkers and/or run away.

I also wish that decision making would have consequences...not the outcome be the same, regardless of what decision you make.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED seeing Kenny and was so happy. I knew it was him. we never saw him actually get killed on screen and everyone knows that if a character is no killed on screen, they may come back (i.e they are not confirmed dead). As far as Im concerned, Lily and Christa are alive too. But i was mostly very happy about seeing Kenny. I never disliked Kenny - he is good people. I liked how he looked all grey and older. I like the continuity from season 1 and Duck. I just hope they wont kill him off in some lame way, like they did with Omid. I mean the guy survived so much just to be accidentally shot by some girl in a bathroom.

I understand in the apocalypse people die left and right, but I do find it annoying that the writers have made a point out of killing the good ones first and always, It almost feels gratuitous at this point. Matthew, the teacher...in fact, seeing the teacher shot was truly shocking to me. I thought amidst all these assholes surrounding Clem he could be a good role model, kind guy and he was killed too. Boo. Why couldnt Rebecca die?

Speaking of people surrounding Clem: this group is some of the most pussy-ass, cowardly, selfish bunch I have ever seen. A grown ass man (Rebecca's husband) sending in a little 11 year old girl to look for food in an empty house in the ZA and then asking her if he can steal it and not share it casue his fucking wife is pregnant. Why do people get pregnant in the ZA anyway? I have no sympathy for her.

And then having a child send over to scout the bridge etc. etc. She is still a child - even if she is "skilled". These people are all unpleasant and if someone deserved to die then it was Rebecca or Nick who first shoots and then asks questions (although I like Nick much more than Rebecca). I tried hard to make my decisions render it such that Clem stays with Kenny, the people in her group are unpleasant, selfish, cowardly and juts assholes.

Dont look forward to another "Governor" type of situation. I prefer the ZA to be about survival, not gang rivalry and fending off power-hungry sociopaths.

Wasnt the red head from 400 days? The one who had an affair allegedly with that guy and who got his wife killed in the corn-field?

People can die based on your choices. You can indirectly cause the death of your hated Nick.

    Yeah, that's Bonnie.

  • actions have few consequences in this game.

  • Speaking of Bonnie, I think she is gonna be weak link in Woodbury, I mean in Carver's camp, link you can use to get something extra or turn her over and get the frak out of there or whatever will be the plot.

  • You stated you wish "actions had consequences". They do in this episode, people can live or die depending on your choices.

  • which actions exactly?

  • Speaking to Walter about Nick can doom him or save him. What you do when Carver arrives determines whether Alvin bites it or not.
