Christa's Baby?

edited March 2014 in The Walking Dead

Ok, so this is a very dark and disturbing question, but I'm going to put it out there. First though, I want to lead up to why I want to know.

After the incident in the restroom with Omid, Christa at some point is no longer pregnant. She might have carried to term, or she might have miscarried. We simply don't know. Going with the theory that she delivered the baby, did the baby survive the birth? Did the baby die a short time later - days, weeks?

Now, given the situation we see Clem and Christa in, is it possible that they...ate...the...baby?? I know, dark and disturbing, but can you imagine if TTG actually did this? That would be seriously ballsy. Thoughts?

Ofcourse they didn't eat the baby...that's nuts! If the baby got miscarried or died after birth, we don't know that yet. But i gues we will find out about it in the next episode. Rebbeca will be having birth during the next episode, i am sure Clem will tell her about Christa and her baby!

  • Clem and Christa aren't cannibals. It probably just died.

  • It may be 'nuts' but we've seen some pretty messed up stuff so far - the St. John's dinner, bowling bag head, etc. Like I said, dark and disturbing. How dark will it get?

  • My theory: The baby was born in perfect health, but some hysterical mother who'd just lost her own child stole it from Christa and Clem. Either the woman escaped with the baby, or Christa went into full-on berserker mode and shot her - killing the baby in the process.

(Hey, maybe Telltale could allow that to be a determinant scenario.)

  • Those people were mentally disturbed. I'm not saying Clem and Christa are in perfect mental health, but at least the have a sense of humanity.

  • I'm guessing it was stillborn, and I don't think with Clem's previous experience at the Dairy that she would have eaten it...

  • I doubt they'd have eaten it...my guess is that the stress of loosing Omid led to complications in the birth or something. I am in no way of medical knowledge so I don't know if that can actually happen but it is just my guess

  • Wow, referring to the baby, a living person, as "it" is kinda cold in my opinion...

  • They were going to eat Omid Jr. in the campfire scene once they got the fire started, weren't you paying attention?

  • Well, we don't exactly know if it was a boy or a girl, so...

  • It was " some sort of weasel " according to Clem!

  • I couldn't help but laugh at how bad that idea is.

  • Ate the baby? That's a tad bit fucked up to even think of.

And I'm pretty sure if that the baby died, it was from a miscarriage. I'm pretty sure we'll hear more about it in Episode 3 regardless. Also remember Clementine's; "Just how Christa showed me" comment while she was stitching her arm? I thought something pretty unpleasant when she said that.

  • You're sick for even thinking that

  • I'm pretty sure the cross thing Clem saw after the river scene is where they buried it.

  • I think that might have been the kid in the photo you find at Sam's camp.

Clem seems pretty convinced that cutting off a limb after being bitten doesn't help. Could be because of Lee's arm, but I think she has had more experiences with it.
    "It never works... ever."

I think the baby might have gotten bitten and they tried to amputate.

  • That's an interesting theory.

  • Then you use the subjunctive form of 'he'. Clem and Christa aren't cannibals. He probably just died.
but most commonly used is 'the baby'

  • Um... people generally refer to their own babies as IT as well if they don't know the gender. I'd just like to point out.
