Theory about the new group

edited March 2014 in The Walking Dead

With all this hype about pedophiles, I've crafted a new theory which I want to share - what if the new group, in which we're now, escaped from Carver because he was trying to get... close to Sarah ? I got the feeling in Episode 1 that Carlos was the leader, so he must've lead the group out of there. This would explain Carlos' overprotectiveness of Sarah and her being "afraid of outside world" or something. Such experience can leave really deep scars and affect your behaviour. Some may say that they escaped because of Rebecca and her baby, but that can be used to my theory as well - she escaped because she saw what Carver is, and she didn't want the same thing happening to her child/Alvin talked her into running, because he thinks the child is his and he also saw what Carver is.
So, what do you think ?

    All great ideas. Nice.

  • Nice theory, but CARVER AND SARAH? \v\ that is unthinkable

For the love of… Can we please just stop with the pedophile theories?

There is no, zero reason to suspect Carver is interested in anything other than Rebecca and the baby he apparently thinks is his. Where are people getting this stuff?

  • Plausible, but I think Telltale has made their point clear that Carver's is after Rebecca's soon-to-be-born child.

  • Yup. Not Sarah. Sarah isn't the one here, as if Carver would have any interest in that girl but to kill her to maybe scar Carlos forever :33

  • I don't think Carlos was the leader of the group, i think its actually Luke since Carver says something along the lines of 'you shouldn't have followed him' (referring to luke)

p.s sorry if i got the line wrong but i can't remember it but i know its something along those lines

  • I really doubt it, He's an evil guy but not like that. He wants Rebbecca and the baby thats all

  • I doubt it, if he was looking to get into her pants I don't think he would have beat the crap out of her dad in front of her. Besides, Sarah IS 15 - that's legal in some places.

  • You are right.
It looks like Luke was the one who led their group out of the camp.

  • I doubt it.
If Carver was after young girls, he'd have taken Clem with him at the house.

Carver has shown that he doesn't like to be crossed or disobedience,
so he probably wants to teach those "deserters" a lesson.

The part of him saying something like "attone for your sins" in the preview trailer seems to confirm that.

  • Hmmmm...maybe, but I don't think Carver is that cold-blooded.

Yup. Not Sarah. Sarah isn't the one here, as if Carver would have any interest in that girl but to kill her to maybe scar Carlos forever :33

  • He doesn't want to kill people. He wants complete obedience and uses fear (likely) to get it. You can't have obedience from the dead.

While I don't think Carver had any interest in Sarah that way, I wouldn't rule out the possibility that it could've been the reason Carlos wanted to leave. A perceived possible threat in the mind of an overprotective father. Though I think it's quite likely that Carlos may have wronged Carver in some way and, fearing his daughter would be caught in the crossfire of any ensuing conflict, fled with the others.

However, I don't think Carlos is anymore the leader of the group than Luke is. That's to say, Carver might very well be mistaken. If Luke was someone well known for having issues with his methods, it might be the natural conclusion for him to draw that he "led" the others. He could also be in denial that so many of them could ever possibly want to leave the "family".

  • Oh, sorry I didn't really think that through. ;w;

  • I'm not so sure the way carver acts and talks about sarah... who knows anythings possible would also explain why sarah didn't know who he was maybe her mind blocked it out
