She doesn't. She's hoping that it's Alvin's, remember?
She says that Alvin and her tried but it didn't work. But as soon as Carver came it did.
That's actually brilliant point in my opinion she not sure but fact she can't prove either of them even though could be potentially any of them she straight away went for carver but whoever son is know whens it's born
Maybe Alvin and Rebecca tried to have a baby before the ZA but couldn't so she thinks Alvin is sterile.
I'll bet it turns out to be Alvin's and Carver snaps because of it.
How would they actually know either way? I don't think it would necessarily be obvious.
Well you know what they say, Women always know who the dad is they have that other instinct :P
Edit: Sorry wasn't meant to be a reply.
What I meant was, she tried having sex with Alvin, it didn't work out. When she either had an affair/was raped by Bill, she got pregnant.
She's hoping it isn't Alvin's.... or he'll kill her.
Where did it say/how did you infer Alvin was sterile?
She says that Alvin and she had tried for a long time, then she tried once with Carver and she became pregnant. She says this in the lodge when youre decorating the Christmas tree, depending on what you say
Can you give me the dialog option? I'd like to try this on my next play
Just pick "how do you know?" after she says "it's not his". All she'll say is that they were trying for a long time "and then..."
No, she definitely wants it to be Alvin's. That's the reason she's worried he'll kill her if he finds out it's not.
Rebecca: It's not his. If Alvin finds out, he'll kill me.
Edit: Just a note that the above is paraphrasing a bit. The part about Alvin doesn't come until after she responds to Clem's reply. In case there's any confusion.
I thought the line went "If he finds out he'll kill me."
Who would she be more afraid of her killing her? Even if metaphorcally....
Alvin or Carver?
Holy crap. It turns out the way that dialogue plays out is different, I guess depending on how you've treated Rebecca. I just checked two different playthroughs and there's one where she specifically mentions Alvin and another where she simply says 'he'. That would explain the differing interpretations. But I think the way she shuts up when Alvin come back indicates it's him either way.
Eh I just took the rushed silence as Alvin doesn't need to hear about it, and keep it on the hush hush. But hearing there is a version where she actually names Alvin then that kind of throws that theory out the window haha.
The way that scene plays out depends on whether you blackmailed her or not, If you never told her you knew about her secret in Episode 1 she will tell you anyway because she Trusts you and says its not Alvin's baby, However if you threatened her she never mentions Alvin and just keeps saying "his" or "him" but its still pretty obvious she's talking about him.
umm yeah but that means she could be actually wrong ?
I dunno, skin tone, maybe? If it turns out to be Alvin's, I'm interested to see what Carver will do, not to Rebecca, but the baby.
And remember when Carver said " our boy will be raised in a place of safety " or something like that , Alvin didn't seem to be surprised or anything , that means he already knows ?
Yeah,he was.Alvin grunted or some shizzle and looked at Rebecca.
Ahem.
Maybe because RAPE?I dunno...Just MAYBE you know when somebody raped you.Jus' 'aying...I'm pretty sure Carver had ZE SECKS with Rebecca by force, without Alvin knowing,or maybe they had an affair before she knew what kinda person Carver was.
"If he finds out he'll kill me.", is a way of speech it does not mean that Alvin will litteraly kill her. It means that he is going be very angry.
Thanks very much for this.
Just burst out laughing in my college library and now everyone's looking at me funny
"Even if metaphorcally"
She's a scientist and did the DNA test for the baby
With what?A stick?
