Now time for sad music, because my backstory is depressing as crap:

When I was young, I li… moreved out in woods, away from most of the cities and such. We never liked the noise of the city, so we decided to simply live out on our own. I lived there with my parents and my little sister. We were all Anthromorphic; why we're that way, I have no clue, but my father used to tell me stories when I was younger that it was a gift from a special wizard way back when. My mother just tells me we were one day born this way. I didn't care either way; I was happy to be who I was. It was so peaceful, we never thought something would go wrong. Away from the protection of the city, we learned to feed ourselves and provide our own protection, but that wasn't enough when someone attacked our home...

We don't really know: the bloodline is so old that its impossible to pin-point what exactly started anthromorphism.
There are plenty of theories on how Anthromorphism started, though.
Well, since everyone is doing a backstory, here is mine. Probably not as good as your ones, but better than nothing, right? BEWARE: LONG-ASS TEXT!
I started off like everyone else these days. I was a student at school, had my friends, had a girlfriend. I simply lived my life the way everyone did. And I was content. However, things changed once a mysterious virus appeared out of nowhere and started killing off people left and right. Before I knew it, the city I lived in was put into quarantine and sealed off from the rest of the world. Suddenly there was no more food, water and medicine supply. We were cut off from the internet without the option of even contacting friends and families outside the quarantine zone. Suddenly, we became prisoners in our own city. And things didn't just stop there.
With every passing day, the military started shrinking the quarantine zone by a couple of meters, killing anyone in their way, believing they were infected. It didn't take a genius to understand that the government planned to effectively kill us all off. They had abandoned us and treated us like cattle ready to be slaughtered. Needless to say, we wouldn't let that happen.
But how were we supposed to break out? We were trapped and the "red line"...the military that came nearer with every passing day...was a serious threat that kept pressuring us. All while anarchy broke out among us and people started to do whatever the fuck they wanted. At first, the students and teachers managed to barricade othemselves inside our school, but as soon as our supplies ran dry, panic started to rise among us. And the teachers who were supposed to lead us, simply abandoned us because they thought we were nothing but a burden that would drag them down. They left us to fend for ourselves. And so we did. Or at least we tried.
What sounded easy in theory, proved to be actually quite hard. The student council started to manage the situation on their own by rationing the little food we managed to scrap together, but obviously, that wouldn't be good enough. Outsiders also entered our camp secretly and started to kidnap some of us during the night when everyone was sleeping. With the adults gone, obviously everyone thought we weren't able to fend for ourselves. I decided to prove them wrong.
Since the student council clearly was unable to deal with the problem, I rose up and gathered the students around me. Together we organized patrols around the school and built a wall to protect it. Then we formed groups to venture out and collect supplies. Things started to look better then. The attacks stopped temporally and we managed to gather enough food and water for everyone. Before I knew it, I had been put in charge.
It was frustrating to say the least. Everyone came to me for directions when I myself wasn't exactly sure what to do. To top it off, the students were mostly inexperienced in almost everything and so the work they did was progressing very slow. Every plan I formed together with my friends was useless, because the students failed to meet their deadlines again and again. They were wasting time. And with the military slowly progressing towards our location, time was something we simply couldn't afford to lose.
That's why one of my friends came up with a system to maximize effectiveness. A ranking system that would reward the most productive students with bigger food rations and punish the ones that were the least productive by denying them theirs. It was a harsh system and I wasn't sure if I should implement it. But while I was pondering about it, some of the students found out and spread the rumour. They soon began to fear that they might end up in the F-rank, the lowest rank, and started making plans to prove their worth to the community. Without my knowledge they took it upon themselves to organize a big scavenge hunt that would go through a territory that was clearly belonging to a group of hostile people.
Of course, they ended up in trouble. And when I finally realized it and went after them to save them, we ended up in a serious fight with the enemy. A lot of good people died that day...including my best friend that didn't even get killed by the enemy, but by one of the soon-to-be F-ranks that panicked and shot at everything in sight, not caring if it was friend or foe. That tragic incident eventually opened my eyes. My now deceased friend had been right. I had to separate the good from the trash in order to make us survive. The weak had to follow the strong if they wanted to live. In that moment, I had decided to become their king.
And thus I enforced the ranking system. Everyone who opposed me was either punished or banned from the community. I was quite clear on that. The students soon started to fear me, but I didn't care, because their fear kept them on the job and the results spoke for themselves. Suddenly, all deadlines were kept and all my plans were a success. Under my order, we overwhelmed every enemy mercilessly and took all their supplies for ourselves. Rarely would we ever take prisoners and if we did, they were harshly forced to stand in line and fight for us. You would be surprised how well that actually worked once they realized they had no other choice if they wanted to survive. Slowly, we started to gain territory and influence. We were getting somewhere.
But my methods and ruthlessness soon started to worry my people. Since I never showed any mercy to anyone, they soon started to wonder when they would be next. When I would eventually find a way out...would I simply leave them behind and only save myself? To them I appeared heartless...they thought I wouldn't care about them at all. They never realized that that wasn't quite the case. They never did, because I never told them. I never allowed myself to look weak in front of them. The only one I ever told was my girlfriend and her alone. When we were by ourselves.
She understood me. Knew that I actually hated being the bad guy here. I merely wanted to save as much of my people as I could, and I knew that it was impossible if I was kind to everyone. They had to fear me, to respect me, to remain efficient. And so I kept up the facade. I was content enough to share my secret with my girlfriend and her alone. No one else needed to know. I would be able to do this as long as things stayed that way.
Unfortunately, they wouldn't. When she found out that someone was plotting a coup de etat against me, she was quick to put them down. Fearing for my life, she didn't even hesitate to kill the responsible person on the spot. But even though it was to protect me, murder was still a crime. And so the rest of the community was voicing their wish for her to be punished. But me...standing between my love and everyone else, just couldn't do it. I knew the rules applied to everyone equally, but what was the point if it meant to kill the one most important person in your life? And so I did the unthinkable. With my authority, I protected her. In this city, I was king. This was my kingdom. I made the rules and I could break them when I wanted. Everyone was serving me, not the other way round. They would obey me, and if they didn't like the sound of that, then they were free to die.
But of course, that only caused more problems. By showing how clearly how I favored people close to me compared to everyone else, they soon started to resent me. I was nothing but a tyrant to them and who knows? Maybe they had been right. There was no way back for me at this point...my crown already had become guilty, so I might as well have continued on this road until the very end.
With my leadership, we eventually amassed enough supplies, weapons and manpower to make a final stand against the military. And after a epic battle in which a lot of men lost their lives, we eventually managed to actually win. We gained our freedom...well, at least the people I fought for did. Because as soon as they realized they had won, they decided that they didn't need me anymore. Pointing their guns at me, they simply planned to execute me on the spot. Apparently that was the revenge they had been longing for after all this time of fear and hatred.
I would have been dead right there and then, if it weren't for my girlfriend and a couple of my last remaining close friends. They created a distraction that bought me enough time to escape, but that came with a terrible price. Having been hit by multiple bullets during my rescue, my love simply bled out in my very arms. Powerless I had to watch how life slowly left her body, yet she didn't even care. She simply said that she was glad I made it out alive. Soon after that, she was simply gone. The sole person in the world I could have never borne losing had died for me. It was needless to say that I could have never accepted that.
I had tried so hard, had wanted to save these people. And I even succeeded. I brought them freedom. Sure, there had been casualties, but it was a success nonetheless. And how had they thanked me for it? By betraying me...and not only that. They killed the love of my life. Well, screw them. I didn't care about their safety anymore. They would pay for what they did. This guilty crown I had burdened myself with...it should become red with their blood. With my last remaining friends behind me, I set out to get revenge. And I slaughtered them all. Every single one. Without as much as a simple fragment of remorse in my heart.
That's right. I was their king. I could do whatever I wanted with them. Those who follow me shall live, those who betray me shall die. That's how things would be from now on. No exceptions. I was the guilty king. My reign was absolute.

Thx bro.
Nice background. Just a curiosity, is there a reason for why you were born anthropomorphic?
I was anthromphic because my parents were anthromorphic, and so were their parents and their parents. Basically passed down through centuries of bloodlines.
I mean, are you a mutation or just an unknown race?
We don't really know: the bloodline is so old that its impossible to pin-point what exactly started anthromorphism.
There are plenty of theories on how Anthromorphism started, though.
Oh, cool. Thanks for sharing your story
Tobi was I even going to see my character?
