The new Playing Dead
I'm making this thread to hear people's opinion on the second season of Playing Dead. I searched for similar threads and I couldn't find any. Don't read what I wrote if you don't want to, but share your thoughts. The main reason behind writing this is 'cause I've read plenty of complains about this and I wonder if that's just a very outspoken minority or if it's a general feeling.
I have to say I'm not hating it, but it feels different from the previous Playing Dead. I didn't know until a few weeks ago who the hell Greg Miller was and I don't hate or love him, but I was half expecting AJ Locasio to be coming back. I was already used to AJ and I really liked him as a host (definetely more than Greg Miller). To be honest, I got the feeling he didn't want to be there in the first and maybe second episode but when the game finally came out, it grew in popularity and he got to play it, that changed completely. He seemed excited and happy to have this opportunity.
Another thing is the guests. I liked Scott Porter, he seemed like a nice guy, and I was definetely interested to hear what the hell Michael Madsen was doing in The Walking Dead. However, the previous season had a lot more guests from Telltale's staff, who could better appreciate the nature of each decision and explained the thinking behind it's creation; and I was a bit pest to see an IGN critic as a guest in the last episode. I wanted to hear the interviews to the new voice actors, but they could've separated them a bit more.
So, basically, I like the new Playing Dead, but I prefer the old one. This is not whining (I hope), just saying how I feel about it. Most of all, I like AJ Locasio and, as I previously stated, i was already used to seeing him as the host. I don't mind Greg Miller, but AJ is just better.
Comments
It's been kind of bad so far thanks to the host. Now after that Clem/Luke joke and how he behaved around Scott Porter it makes me think Shaundi was Greg Miller all along.
It's awful aj was a way better host. Greg is an annoying biased ahole who always interrupts his guests and makes god awful jokes. If that's not bad enough he also ships like and Clem he's a wierdo pedo
It all makes sense now!
I was getting all annoyed when Greg was hating on Sarah and Carlos grrrrrrrr he just tries to be funny and fails most of the time.
I don't know, I can understand this Greg-hate from a gamers/fan standpoint, his jokes are quite annoying at times, although I do get the feeling he's a real Telltale fan.. I really enjoyed his interview with Melissa (although this was an Up At Noon edition -> ) , they both seemed to be having a really good time and at the same time providing good insight into Clem's character and development.
Considering they are probably not allowed to talk about the things I really want to know about, it's fine I guess.
Didn't follow the old Playing Dead since I got in to the game a bit late, but watched a few of the old episodes and liked them. The new one is terrible, anyways. All because of the host. (Also, blerg, IGN. I will never forgive them for past transgressions)
Greg has no respect for Uncle Pete or any other character. It's the same way as insulting the writer's hard work. FUCK GREG MILLER!
I still like to hear what they have to say about the creative process and how they reached each decision.
If you ship any romantic relationship for clem that's f'ed up she's 11 people!
P.S also if Luke dies(I hope not) it won't be till probably episode 4 or 5
It's only like one person and we know who it is
Its okay if we were talkin' about someone Clem's age, I mean you can't help but think about it but to ship her with a dude in his 20's is just retarded.
Tell me about it, this is one of the reasons I can't stand Luke's character some times. And even if some years go by, she would be like what? 15?! And Luke will be in his early-mid 30's.
Greg miller (yes that dumbass unfunny lunatic) ships them too >_>
Why the fuck do people even get the idea of a relation ship between a 20+ year old man and a 11 year old girl....Like WTF.
i always get the vibe from luke as being a protective brother or father...or a Lee of some sorts.
R.I.P Lee
well Luke isn't the one shipping them lol I'm pretty sure luke cares about clem but only in s Sibling sort of way
There was a member on here much worse than Greg and they have had more than one account banned but it was before you joined.
I know that. Still, I can't be the only one that thinks about this "Cluke" thing in some circumstances when Clem and Luke interacts(Mostly due to the fangirls).
hmm the person down voting my comments either hates luke or thinks shipping an 11 year old with a 20 something year old is ok. either its pretty sad lol
You think clukes are bad?wait until yo see clicks, alvintines, clarvers, and rebeccintines.and worse:clennys.
Cluke rhymes with puke. :P
You know, I don't particularly like the idea, but social stigmas aside, and given some more years, I think it would actually be a good thing for Clementine to meet someone like that (or like what we've seen so far).
For the moment, though... it is not a good idea, it would come off as distasteful on TT's part, and besides, I don't think he's going to make it to the end. It would also ruin the perfectly nice sibling friendship between the two. Just because they are of a different gender does not mean they should be romantically involved, regardless of age. Hollywood seems to especially fail to understand this.
Hell man I have no idea "why" or "how" they even got that idea. I never even thought of Clem attempting to fall in love. NO ONE seemed to love her romantically, but actually friendly.
people play The Sims a lot man

Fucking hell, Clementine is eleven. Regardless of any future time skips, Luke is still probably 10+ years older. It's clear there is an older brother dynamic going on here. Hopefully whoever shipped that is joking.
Apparently, 3 people approve of pedophilias.

He actually said that?
I could consider the possibly if in a future game if Clem is (AT LEAST) 18 and Luke (if he is still alive) is in his 30s. It would seem a bit like Beth/Daryl in the TV show, which I don't personally ship, but I know a lot of people do. But even that would seem weird and unnatural if the two of them had a well-established sibling relationship that randomly turned romantic just because Clem was old enough. It wouldn't feel right.
And yeah, I agree that shipping them in their current state is wrong. Just, no.
thats still kinda weird first off I don't think anyone could survive that long and second he would have known her since she was 11 I don't know about you but that just seems wierd
Ok...
Alvintine... Oh god
Luke is anywhere between 25-30 years of age right now, Clem is 11. She acts much older than that at times, but it is what it is. Nothing romantic is ever going to happen between the two. I don't know if some people just want to see Clem romantically attached to someone or what.. but its just not going to happen with Luke.
He also said Luke and Clem should get married.
I don't think Shaundi is joking. She has the biggest Luke/Scott Porter Fetish
Haha yeah, that's exactly what I said. :P They would have gone so long with that sibling dynamic, I don't think either one of them would pursue anything romantic.
Thanks for nightmares
This might sound disturbing but puberty and age wise...Clem's Body isn't looking for a relation ship....
I hope i never need to type that ever again.
all this being said i do endorse a friendship for clem though.
she needs friends like sarah to keep her innocence.
i hope clem becomes friends with sarah and even becca be cool to see them traveling together kicking a$$ lol
