i can think of many situations where someone was doing something and they mis-understood my response and thought i meant something else, a few of the responses Clem could make didnt give enough info to convey what would happen if you chose it, but thats how things actually happen. also i dont know where the person lives but around here transformers go down all the time because of storms or hell even a squirrel.
I'll just leave this here. Posted this on another thread about FFS, but yeah.
I'm pretty sure he said he still enjoyed the episode afterwards. On the point of his play through, he does make legitimate complaints, but at the same time the amount of nitpicking is what really erks me. Yes criticism is good for a game, but the problem with nitpicking is it makes any game seem like the worst game possible. What do I mean by this? Well if anyone has ever played Final Fantasy 10, you will probably know of someone who reviewed it called Spoony and while he did make legitimate points the amount of nitpicking, some of it not even justified, or the game made it so the nitpick was worthless, it just made a really good game seem like the spawn of Satan. Then compare that review to just about any other reviewer who does point out the major flaws without nitpicking and the view of the game changes completely This is why I don't like over-excessive nit-picking, especially from reviewers or let's players, because they must realize they have a fan base that would probably believe everything they say.
Now with VGA's play through an example of a nitpick that is just unjustified for example if you like at the game was like when they complained about only Clem and Luke going ahead to scout the bridge, while yes at first it may seem awkward to have the youngest member going to dop reconnaissance, but when you look at the larger picture it makes perfect sense, Luke was one of the most trusting members towards Clem, and she had already shown herself capable of killing walkers, as well like Luke said, she was young and had good eyes, and like Hell if anyone thinks Carlos would send Sarah instead. As well in such a circumstance it's not like everyone overlooked her being a child in fact Carlos even comments on that fact.
The point of me elaborating there is that nitpicking is seldom good, and generally is only there when looking at a game from a narrow point of view.
Generally you like to find a way to complain about something when it's a sequel, it's a shame too. You simply don't like the series because it's going in a risky and different direction from the first.
Just came to thought, one of the main criticisms I'm seeing of Episode 2 is the writing of some of the characters where they just ask Clem to go and do this or that. And I just think, you're playing a video game. Do you want to stand around and do nothing too noteworthy like Clementine did for a majority of the first Season? Man, that would be fun.
Plus, she's grown older and more dependable on herself. The fact she managed to stitch back up her own arm kind of shows that does it not? The group don't want to get in her way or "Protect" her. I'm glad they're seeing her as an equal and not like the naive child she was in the first Season. Makes it feel like she's grown up.
A House Divided was a great episode, the criticisms I had were the lack of a proper hub and optional conversations, but these criticisms of the writing and dialogue I just find stupid. Do you want to stand around and do nothing?

Now that I thought about it, wouldn't it have been funny to play as Clementine in Season One?
Imagine being stuck in the drugstore waiting for the quicktime event to give the talkie to Lee.
Episode was good. Only odd part was Clem telling everybody she could stop the turbine and everyone is just like "Fantastic, that makes sense that you'd know how to do that."
But whatever. Maybe her dad was in the turbine business or something.

In regards to the windmill scene. People would've complained that the adults left turning it off to a little girl if it was an elaborate puzzle like the train in season one. People are still complaining however that Clem was the one to turn it off but at least it wasn't something that she wouldn't have been able to figure out. The writers should've put something inside the door like a "How to turn on/off" sign so it'd be easier to believe that anyone could figure it out. Or better yet have Carlos tell Clem what needs to be done so it would seem like Carlos isn't as dumb as people think he is.
Or maybe he should asked like "It's too dark, Clementine do you have a lighter?" and let him turn off the turbine. In the meanwhile , we could've scan the trees with Nick and Sarita

That gif is awesome lol
They want the game to be completely realistic? Look how that turned out for GTA 5.. It is so realistic that it has gotten very boring.
Thank you.

absolutely
"You don't just end it cause it's hard. You stick it out, and you help the folks you care about."
You've always been there for me, Always had my back when t mattered...
realistic ?
What kind of friend would I be if I wasn't there for you now?
They kinda thrown realism out the door the second the series started. How? Zombies.
Im with you to the end !

Appaently standing around doing nothing would be more entertaining for some people

Yes that would be a job better suited for Clem.
