What if twd was rated 18+ would it be better? Would it funner to hear more cuss words and see more graphic and mature scenes. What if carver tried to rape Clem in the cabin but Sarah is under the bed and shoots him, but she misses if you don't teach her

Like Lee catching his wife and the senator sleeping together and then killing him, that would be pretty interesting.
I'm pretty sure it is rated Mature (I don't know about rating systems outside the US, though). The Last of Us had the same rating and included an attempted rape, so if they wanted to include something like that, they could.
I don't know, I mean, I don't think Telltale is really afraid to do the crazy or unexpected, or swear for that matter.
For example:
No game really warrants an AO rating unless it includes graphic rape or is basically a snuff film/torture simulator. I don't see how it would possibly benefit a game like this.

He's talking about the AO rating. The Walking Dead uses the "M" rating, which basically allows for anything other than graphic nudity and sex scenes. Perhaps a game could gain an AO rating if including extremely realistic gore and sadism prevalent throughout the game, but I haven't heard of that happening.

TWD already is rated M/17+. And there's already so much cursing in the game and graphic scenes, I don't know what more you could want. They could get away with implied rape if they wanted to, but I doubt TTG will ever do that.

Eughh. That scenario makes me sick to the stomach just thinking about it. It would definitely serve it's intended purpose of being completely horrifying, but damn...that might be a bridge too far even for TWD. Plus, if something like that happened it would probably destroy the last shreds of innocence and enthusiasm that poor Clem has left.

I agree, TWD has had some pretty fucked up stuff, but I don't think they're going to show us.. that. I thought they already implied something like it in S1 EP2 when Jolene called the bandits "rapist monsters" I think that's as far as they're ever gonna go with the subject.
If something like it did happen though Lee would be rolling over in his grave for sure.

it would kind of be nice if the ESRB was actually relevant and parents payed attention to it, i don't think the language or content really needs to be pushed to an AO rating, if that happened, people in australia would likely have a hell of a time getting their hands on a copy. if anything, the only language related thing i'd have liked would be to have clem's little "swear" comment be used in season 2. that's about it.

Agreed. The fact that it would be happening to a kid is what really pushes it over the line for me. Plus, Clem has enough post-traumatic stress for ten people as it is.

well I can't speak for other countries but in my country season 1 is only MA15+ and season 2 is R18+

the adults only rating requires some pretty heavy and blatant attempts to get on that list. most games will just say "screw it, we'll just censor it somehow, or make these people unkillable." because alot of stores won't sell AO games.
