About The Walkers...
Hey folks. Sorry if something like this has been posted already but there are a few things that have been bugging me about the walkers in TTG's TWD and in A house Divided they (to me at least) became more apparent.
First off, is it just me or are the walkers a tad too slow to be an actual physical threat in outdoor areas. At the start of A House Divided, you're trapped in a shed with Nick or a truck with Pete. I understand that with Pete's bite wound and the way he completely fails in the breakout from the truck that running with his leg must have been darn near impossible and so the only way to get away from the walkers was to hide in the truck for safety. Now what I don't understand is, why do you hide in the shed with Nick if you go with him? The walkers are about as slow as a toddler and the woods should be a great place to lose them easily and circle around back to the cabin. Both Clem and Nick could run so it made no sense to hide in the shed. There were about five or six walkers outside and I can't see them being able to surround them as they could just run through the gaps between them like Clem does when she escapes.
Secondly, why do characters insist on fighting them when they really don't have to. Such as when Carlos saves Clem from being attacked by walkers right after she runs out of ammo (the fact that she doesn't just run puzzles me). Carlos gets ambushed from behind, he drops his rifle and the walker and runs back to the lodge while telling Clem to do the same. Clem runs towards the lodge but is stopped by a walker. At this point, she could have just ran around it but she insists on getting the rifle from under the dead walker all while the attacking walker is slowly plodding towards her. Also, why are there two random walkers behind Clem doing absolutely nothing during that scene?
A few other weird moments, such as the walkers outside the Everett drug store back in Season 1 A New Day not noticing Lee and Doug when they were merely yards away are a bit peculiar too. I think the writers could maybe set walker scenes in doors where the characters have nowhere to run or a scenario like on the bridge with Luke and Clem when it wasn't really possible for Clem to just run away because Luke could have potentially died.
As I said before, I'm real sorry if this has been posted or discussed before but I just felt the urge to make this post. By the way, I do understand that everything happens for story purposes and that's totally fine. I just would like the writers to try and set up situations where there is no way out but through the walkers.
So what do you fine folks think about the walkers in TellTales' The Walking Dead? If anybody made it through this I thank you.

I agree that they need to do a better job of setting it up to look more plausible.I think most of those moments happen only to bring tension into the story.
I don't know, wizards maybe?
I've got 3 answers:
1- Shed: I don't know about you, but i wouldn't risk leaving the shed like that, the walkers are right at the door and if you get grabbed it's over. The times Clementine is running are quicktime events for a reason, it's easy for a human being on real life to make a mistake. You press one wrong button, and you're dead. It's not that easy to run away from walkers.
2- Killing walkers for no reason: You're right, they could just run away from walkers, but what fun is that? In a game i want to kill things!
3- Drugstore with Doug: Two words. Plot Convenience
DIDNT READ LOL
P.S. Sorry,couldnt help myself
RIP Doug, you will be missed
Yeah, it's all for story purposes which I can forgive them for. It just seems a bit silly at times.
Why go into the shed in the first place?
The drugstore was the only example in the op that made sense to me haha.
But don't nit pick it, or it loses charm.
I think you're onto something there.
If you don't kill walkers, they mass up, as we have seen in episode 3 of season one. Walkers go to great lengths to find a meal, and letting them live just means its one more you have to worry bout later when it catches up with you.
Or the herd that "killed" Kenny
Tips66 i know you disliked this XD
Nope, wasn't me. I don't mind your comment. Just to prove it, I'll give you a like or two.
The best IT guy ever.
bestest
Sorry, just felt that I had to. Love the whole game and I can suspend by disbelief while playing but it'd be nice if I never had to.
I feel bad now You Know What?Ill read it
True, but it'd be such a waste if Clem would have been killed by that one walker just because she went for the rifle and not run around. It may be one more walker alive but at least it's also still one more person alive.
They could have got surrounded...
Don't worry, it's no problem. Thanks for commenting
By six walkers who (I think) were chasing them from the river?
Well thats no fun. I mean yeah running about zombies is an option but thats the cheap way out. Imagine how boring the episodes would be if they avoided the zombies. I need at least 5 zombie deaths per episode or its not The Walking Dead
Yeah, it would be boring but I think they should make it so there are no conceivable ways of getting out so that we can still have all that zombie killing goodness without us thinking that they could kinda just jog away or circle around the walkers.
Can't lose charm if its coming out of your ass.
I think its aliens!
I like the way you think.
