I don't even need the ttg board appreciation. Sometimes I get likes for an opinion other people agree with, sometimes I get only dislikes because I voice an opinion people are bound to hate. And I don't take offence in something like a dislike but it actually helps me to understand which position the majority has.

No just stop. This is just painful to watch after getting punched in the face without me even having to offend you and basically giving up you reduce yourself to this.
For melee I'd make a spear, and use my hunting knife. If I was to use a gun I'd carry either a 9mm or a .45 pistol for the sake of plentiful ammo. Other weapons I'd use would be a machete, a shovel, a hand-and-a-half sword, and a Springfield 1903. Anything would be a decent weapon against walkers really. My dream weapon for use on walkers would have to be a Gladius.

My NFA Title II approved Ruger 10/22 with a suppressor (God Bless America), a 4x optic and preferably subsonic ammo, mainly because it's the only gun I own. The problem with most guns is that thy are very loud and serve as a 150-decibel dinner bell, not to mention it's deafening to the shooter. Suppressed .22 is pretty quiet and with subsonic ammo it's basically silent. If you don't need to worry about attracting a mob, it's easier to take your time to line up good shots, which is absolutely necessary with a .22. I rarely shoot with the suppressor on though, because it's relatively cheap and gets dirty rather quick.
For close range I'd use an entrenching tool or crowbar.

A katana is primarily a slashing weapon, not a thrusting one. It is capable of thrusting, but it's definitely a slashing weapon. European fi… moreghting techniques employed the thrust with equal importance to the slash. European or Japanese swords will both easily remove heads with little or no training either way. The European sword isn't exactly anymore sturdy either.
