Do you think season two will win GOTY?
For me personally I think this will win another game of the year. Even though there are a lot of good games coming out I think TWD has a good chance

Who knows depends really right now people are saying dark souls 2 is going to be game of the year but if TWD continues to be as good as if is I think it will win. Especially now the the witcher isn't releasing this year
It depends on the ending, I guess. I expect the drama to just continue climaxing, so I have my hopes.
Okay, I can't hold it in. I hope it does, even though goty doesn't really mean anything, it'd pretty much confirm a season 3
We can't really be certain about that just yet. But I do hope it does, although with the next-gen games on board, I'd say this is going to be one tough battle to say the least.
Don,t get me wrong i love TTG but i don,t know if they can recapture the fire in a bottle that was season 1.
It might win awards, but I don't think it'll get as much media attention as the First Season got overall. Simply because it's a sequel. I'm pretty sure it can still win awards though, such as best downloadable game and best for voice actors. Melissa won the best female voice in the VGA's back in 2012. Quite a phenomenal achievement. And I don't think there's any ruling of being nominated a second time for the same award. Michael Madsen or Scott Porter might get a nomination for best male voice this year. Maybe even Gavin Hammon.
But there is one thing to worry about, Season Two released in 2013 (on Christmas) yes, a majority of the Season will be out in 2014 but in the end, I'm afraid some people will simply count it as a 2013 game because of this.

Yeah, especially that it's still early 2014, there could be new stacks of good games or clusters of terrible ones. So judging if TWD wins a GOTY is way too early for now. I say we wait

Alot of people didnt count it for any awards for 2013 because it came out so late they cant discount it because it came out too early

I'm guessing this was because of the trailer? Dead Island's trailer was the real deal...so much feels was placed in it. Many people argued that the trailer itself was better than the whole game XD
Well, in my honest opinion, Episode One and Two of this Season have already beat Episode One and Two of last Season... So I think it's got a very good chance of winning game of the year. It may not win 90 awards like Season One did simply because it's a sequel and may not get as much media attention, but I think it'll definitely be considered Game of the Year. At least, if they keep up the quality of the episodes.
Hard to say yet. For me It sure deserves it instantly for it's general Quality and Non Conventionality. But the Magic and the Phenomenon of S1 was unique that's for sure. I think it's hard to achieve the overall Structure of it and to bring up a dominant Point like the Lee-Clem Relationship. Sequels are well Sequels after all. Ok in Assassins Creed it was the 2nd which was the best but that's not always the Case.

Probably not S1 was better more gameplay, more depth with better characters. S1 episodes written by sean vanaman episodes 1,3 and 5 best whole series should be brought back for s2 not broken don't fix it.Hub and good puzzles that's was with small budget after only needing to sell 100,000 copies to break even and sold 21 million should of enhanced every feature not take away gameplay and make short episodes that's just personal opinion first season was fresh concept no ones was expecting decision game to come with such quality but know there expecting the best makes harder to win.
Saying all this hope win awards and hope ends up brilliant just an honest opinion
It will win a shit ton of awards for sure but they really need to get their shit together with the remaining 3 episodes if they want GOTY again.
I think they've already out-done themselves. I think season two is just barely better than season one due to how awesome Clem is in this season. She was always amazing and adorable but now we get to see the sassy and "anti-pushover" Clementine in this one. I'm not too big of a fan of the really bitchy decisions that you can choose but it is nice that Clementine won't let her ideas be pushed down so easily.
One: It's the walking dead game.
Two: Clementine is in it.
Three: One and two tell you why it will get awards.
If it doesn't I will be utterly shocked.
Even tho i love the walking dead i think the uncharted for ps4 will win GOTY if it comes out this year
I used to like Dead Island until I realized it's a really shitty game compared to all of the others out there. It shouldn't have won an award, although TWDG deserved to win every single award they got.

I can see your point, considering the lack of hubs so far, but we all know that can easily change at any point.
just cause of release dates doesnt mean that it wont get goty. twd s1 did and it had mostly 3 month waits

My opinion may change during the course of 2014, but here we go:

No, TWD S2 will not win GOTY for three reasons.
1- Too much competition, we have a bunch of console next-gen titles, dark souls 2 was praised by media, we still have Arkham Knight, AC: Unity and others Next-Gen only games.
2- TWD Season 1 was great, had great story and characters, but we can't forget that there was almost no competition back on 2012, most of the games were epic fails (looking at you, AC3, ME3). In contrast with reason 1, when in one there was nothing to compete with, on 2014 we will have a bunch of games (unless all of them fail, which could happen). I'm not saying that TWD S1 didn't deserve it, because it did, but it's much easier to win a GOTY without powerful competition.
3- Lack of innovation. Season 2 is no step up in terms of gameplay or interaction, unless we get some variables, multiple endings or something new, it will be a "more of the same" experience.
Now, surprises (and AAA epic flops) may happen so everything could change. I still think that a Season 2 character will get nominated for Character of the Year and definitely Season 2 will be nominated for Best Storytelling.

Watch Dogs or Destiny (If it comes out this year) will probably win GOTY for 2014. TWD SE2 is shaping up to be a good game, but the hype for those two game is HUGE!!!!
Watch Dogs by ubisoft can't wait man they said wanna take on GTA v in terms of game quality and size going be some game
If Watch Dogs is, at least, 80% of what that E3 2012 demo was, it will be a hell of a game
I really hate to say it, but Season 1 got really lucky with all those awards, most of the other games were either flops, good but not great, or console exclusives, if GTA V or Bioshock Infinite had come out that year instead of being delayed, then it never would have won, not saying the quality is less then those games, just saying there popularity would have crushed it, but we lucked out and that is great. In my personal opinion, maybe it will, the competition is a lot stronger, maybe not as strong as last year but still a force to be reckoned with, if the quality remains the same as episode 2 of season 2, they I give it a chance, but at the very minimum, your going to see a lot of awards going to Melissa Hutchinson again, and probably Micheal Madsen, I will be on its side all the way through.
