Our questions about Luke has been answered...
I was looking at a thread called Kenny kills Luke and he had a video with proof Kenny killed Luke. This is not a joke and I'm convinced. I didn't want Luke to die even though I have mixed feelings for him. This is the video the person posted in their thread. A hacker was able to hack into the system and find a hidden scene of Kenny killing Luke. Lets all make a Luke appreciation thread...
The proof is in the puddling guys

im pretty sure luke isn't dead not yet anyways the hacker just took where Kenny shot that guy and put luke in the guys place pretty sure
hows that possible those it's illegal to switch the story around. All the hacker did was look into the file for pc and post it on youtube. The second shot you heard is Kenny killing Luke after he killed John
Yes i have seen that clip in my own playthrough but the man that was shot was one of Carvers goons. Kenny didn't kill Luke.
That much is obvious. If they ever found a way to take actions from one scene and put them into another this would've been an awesome troll for April Fools.
It's not illegal, all he did was modify the game files and swapped Johnny's model with Luke's
since when do hackers care whether something like that is illegal or not? and second we're saying they just changed johnny's model with lukes
Vivec has an entire discussion where has done it dozens of times and posted it.
lol, it's not illegal if you're not profiting off of it. people do that stuff for fun all the time.
I wouldn't be so sure; I don't know anything about hacking or related laws, but cracking into the game's code might be illegal anyway. For instance, it's perfectly legal to make a copy of a dvd you own for backup. However since a lot of people make copies and sell them, which is illegal, many dvds have codes that disallow you from copying them. Even if it's for personal use and not profit, unlocking the dvd is still illegal.
Then game mods are illegal?
People aren't making copies, though. I'd barely consider it hacking because it's They're just modifying textures, swapping models. People do that all the time with tons of games. There's no code to unlock to do it, you just need a separate programs. I can't tell you specifically as I haven't done it myself but I'm like 100% sure it's not illegal. Maybe not recommended, as I'm sure Valve didn't exactly intend for the Tank to look like Shrek and play "All Star" when it comes around the corner, but definitely not illegal.
Oh so the video's fake and Luke's alive?
hey why you getting all the up votes I said the same thing first. mean people :O lol jk
...
Jill Sandwitch, didn't you played the game?
i don't know :P
jill sandwitch? what the f*ck?
Luke is alive.
Carvers confirmed it, when he made mention of Luke not being present.
lol I looked at your avatar and just had to read that in clem's voice
I get it XD
Here! Have some upvotes!
while I do think he is alive I don't think carver confirmed it
It's a Resident evil joke XD when Berry said Jill almost turned to a Jibble Sandwhich
The confirmation we have is that Luke is a major character and it'd be unwise to kill him off-screen.
I found an article. It looks they aren't, but it also looks unclear (problem is the the article is from 2005)
The company theoretically could sue for a "breach of copy protection... and intellectual property."
The defendants state it is acceptable under fair use.
But again, as long nobody is making a profit people generally don't make any fuss (and in the case of translations or fixing bugs, it actually helps the product). Some engines even provide options for modding.
