What is with all the tv show/game crossover threads recently?

edited March 2014 in The Walking Dead

So just this week there have been a sudden burst of threads discussing how the tv show will crossover with the game, it is not a very popular idea on the forums which I also think it is not a good idea

Am I the only one who can't work out why people can't accept that they are not in the same universe and don't understand why there is a sudden burst of threads discussing this?

  • Some people, i mean gee!

  • Somebody made a relatively convincing post about Terminus being Macon. I certain wouldn't want a crossover, but I can live with a nod.

As to not being in the same universe; that's true, but the show is based on the comics, and switches around characters. To think they might not pluck a character from the game, who, with the exception of Glenn, are all original, would depend wholly on licensing (which I doubt AMC has).

well after seeing the new episode I can confirm that Terminus is not Macon I would not mind references to the game but not a full on crossover

  • Because, NEWSFLASH, people have different opinions. They may not be popular ones, but they are still entitled to have them.

They COULD all post in the same thread, though...

  • "That door is always open for us, though whether or not we step through it remains a big question," said Kirkman in an interview with Wired.

So, will we ever see anything like Rick Grimes talking to Lee or Clementine? "I certainly wouldn’t want to spoil anything cool like that if we had it coming up," said Kirkman. "Scott Gimple, our showrunner, is certainly a huge fan of that game series as well and very familiar with it."

I don't know if I'm sad or happy right now. Seeing Lee and Clem in the TV is a good thing but what is going to happen if Lee and Clem's characteristic personalities ruined? What if that spin-off series about The Walking Dead TV Show is going to tell Lee and Clem's journey?
