Are Clem and Lee not in the comics?
I just picked up TWD compendium 1, and it doesn't appear that Clem and Lee are in it. Do they come further on in the series, or are they not in the comics? Did Telltale just make them up?

The only characters that are in both the game and comic are Glenn and Hershel. Every other character was made by the creative minds of TTG.
They aren't in the comics. The only characters who show up in the comics have been Glenn and Herschel in episode 1.
Huh, I went all this time thinking that they were in the comics.
Lee, Clementine and all the other characters where all created by Telltale apart from Hershel, Glenn and Shaun who where created by Robert Kirkman and where in the comics.
Here is an intresting atricle about how they created Clementine that you might find intresting http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2012/12/26/creating-clementine.aspx
Holy swear, that was a fantastic read!
I really hope they have a strong overall concept for S2, too...
What other posters have mentioned is correct. No characters from the game (except for hershel and glenn) appear in the comics. You will also notice (if you watched the TV show) that Merele T-dogg, and Daryl don't appear in the comic, as well. If i remember right, there are also some major departures as far as the governor/woodbury storyline goes.
indeed. I believe the game is canon with the comics, but lee and Clementine do not appear in the comics.
The game follows a completely different group than the comics, so no. There are a few characters in the game who are also in the comics, but not Lee and Clementine.
Funny enough, every character who appeared in the game from the comics is now dead.
What about Lilly? I'm not an expert on the comics so I don't know if she actually dies in the comics before the current time in the game. I know she's not really officially considered a comic character reference, but she was originally meant to be, she was supposed to be the same person, so I still count them as the same person.
Neat
If they put them in the comics, telltale will get a crowbar shoved up their asses.
Don't forget, Lilly is in the comics too. She's even worse than she was in the video game, honestly.
