Potential moments that could cause season 2 to jump the shark

Just list some things that you think would ruin season 2 if they were to happen.

  1. Zombie Lee
  2. Kenny living and taking Clementine
  3. Clementine killing Carver
  4. Clementine dying

Comments

  • 1 and 4 yeah.

Clementine killing Carver would make the game even better.

    1. Next episode confirms Kenny killed Luke.

    2. Luke actually running away never to be seen again.

    3. Clem completely losing her mind.

    4. Clem becoming the leader/puppetmaster of a group of adults.

  • Number 4 is a good one. The puzzle during ep 2. with the wind turbine was probably the biggest SMH moment in any telltale game.....ever. Awful.

  • I don't think the wind turbine part was a puzzle at all...

  • For telltale's sake I hope you are right.

    1. Lily's return: I don't mind Lily that much as a character, but seeing as Kenny just came back, it would be kind of stupid to force the same Kenny/Lily dynamic on us all over again.
    2. Rebecca has a (not so) stillborn: No walker babies, please fucking god no!
  • i bet when carvers dies or close to dieing, clementine well have the choice to either kill him off or just walk away.

  • It is the satisfaction of taking down a villain yourself. Same with the Stranger.

    In what way

  • Only 1 and 4 I agree with. I WANT 3 to happen. Especially with how Carver looks like a very powerful villain. Will make it all the more satisfying when you finally take him down.

And Kenny is likely gonna live for awhile. And I hope he does also.

  • Sarah is actually some kind of zombie killing savant.

I don't think they will. Even if Lilly makes another appearance in a future episode. Telltale would be careful to avoid repeating old themes or relationships. I'm guessing Lilly will show up at Carver's camp, but in a relatively minor role, and she'll probably be killed in the same episode.

  • Anything's possible, I suppose. I still don't feel like there's any real need to bring her back though...

  • That would be fucking hilarious! Sarah decides she likes killing zombies and creates all these sophisticated death traps. Too bad it would send the character development train flying off the track.

Sarah is actually some kind of zombie killing savant.

  • If that happened, we wouldn't know about it because the universe would implode.

  • Like River from Serenity?

  • I think anything Lee in this season would make it lame. Zombie or otherwise.

  • Yup.

  • It won't be that terrible if he keeps the 'stache. We'll just have to live the rest of our lives knowing what we're missing.

    1. Zombie Lee would be awful and unnecessary unless Clem were in Savannah. But even then, why?
    2. This seems a little too happy for TWD, but it's not that terrible to me.
    3. I'd actually really like this one, specially if it's a choice.
    4. Clem dying would definetely be jumping the shark, because there isn't any character that can replace her properly.

Also, in my case, loosing Clem as a playable character (but having her live) would really screw it up for me. I know there's a lot of people who miss playing as a grown man, but I'm really enjoying being Clem and I don't think I can return to the Lee/Clem relationship, as much as I loved it and specially since it can't be as Lee.

  • I like the (Clem becoming the leader/puppetmaster of a group of adults.) that would be awesome

  • Yes, the results would be catastrophic.

1: In episode 5 Kenny is talking Mid sentence to Clementine and suddenly gets shot in the head by Lilly.

2: Luke turns out to be a lying deceiving psychopath.

    3: Kenny kills Luke

    4: Zombie Lee

    5: Clementine Dies

6: Season 2 ends with Clementine all alone and uncertain.

    1. Season 2 ends with a cliffhanger
    2. Christa is dead
    3. Clementine loses an eye or a limb
    4. Everyone dies but Clem and Sarah and you are stuck with taking care of Sarah
    5. Every death is boring or offscreen from now on
  • She was always my leader in season one anyway lol. I could harldey ever say no to those eyes.

I mean, Sarah's super sheltered, but I feel like she has some potential. She's well read and clearly intelligent, albeit very immature--but she's a teenager with an ambiguous disorder living with a smothering father in the apocalypse, of course she'll be immature. I could see potential for her to become very capable, but I'm not sure if she'll ever be allowed the opportunity.

Since it's implied that she's somewhat mentally disabled, I kind of hope so. I think having a disabled character rising above their low expectations and turning into a competent, useful, and capable fighter would send a good message. But like I said I'm not really sure if that's likely. Seems more like she'll end up getting killed off.

  • Start getting ready for the second one, because it's a possibility. I hope I'm wrong, but just in case...
