I'd say so far it would be Lee. But Clem can now take care of herself ya know?
This is a dumb question, we all know its Lee!
Lee, of course. Not only he cared about that girl more than about himself, he also taught her valuable lessons, both about surviving and about other people overall. Maybe Omid and Christa taught her even more, but we never got to see it.
It's nice to see other people's opinions whether they're the dumbest ones or not.
I agree, ofcourse Lee was a loyal Bro, a badass and a loving caretaker for Clem.
But Lee wasn't the saint many people want him to be. He killed a man out of anger and was on his way to prison before the apocolypse started. But in my opinion, that's what makes him such an awsome and interesting character. Nobody is perfect, in the world of the Walking Dead.
Luke or Kenny, really? It's Lee and Christa. We can't tell who was better. Lee taught her how to survive and make hard decisions. Christa took care of her for almost 2 years. Kenny didn't even care about her until she became his new Duck. Luke just disappeared after 6 days and I can't tell he was her caretaker after all. That's obvious.
Yeah, I agree. A guy with his flaws and complicated past, but nevertheless likeable. I would write more, but then I would be repeating either my points or yours.
It's hard to vote for anyone other than Lee since he's the one we've seen the most in the caretaker role. That being said, Christa is probably the better caretaker in terms of ability.
Lee had a whole group supporting him for most of the 3 months he was with Clem and spent most of that time holed up at the motor inn. Christa kept Clem alive for 16 months in the wilderness (about five times longer than Lee) and she did it alone. All while pregnant/grieving over the loss of her husband and newborn child. She probably wasn't nearly as warm and nurturing as Lee was but I doubt anyone else could have done as good a job as she did given her circumstances.

This was a tough one, actually! I chose Omid & Christa, but only by a slim margain. Lee is a great caretaker, after all, he cares enough about her that dying from his bite doesn't even cross his mind until she is safe. But as Vernon said "someday she's going to ask you for something you can't give her." Let's face it, being a single guardian is a daunting task. It's not impossible, but I have infinite respect for people who can pull it off. I just think that Omid and Christa would have a very strong family dynamic that would be better in the long run. That said, it's a REALLY close competition. The other choices are a non-issue. Luke is closer to a cool older brother than a father figure. As much as I like Kenny, I don't think he's ready to be a father again.
Lee, but I think next in line would be Luke. He's not nearly as good with Clementine as Lee was (although it's more difficult to be a good caretaker when they're a little bit older) but yeah. I honestly think that now, she doesn't really need someone to take care of her, although it's nice to have someone who will have her back if she needs help.

for season 1 the obvious answer is Lee. for the in between period, Christa.for season 2....... I'm gonna go with Kenny until it's proven otherwise.
Good point. Christa is tough as nails and she taught Clem well in that respect.
Lee, though I bet a lot of us would go with Christa if we knew more about the two years they spent together.
I'm not sold on Luke by any means. He's cool and I like his character... he seems to put a lot of trust and faith in an 11-year old girl. He should, obviously. To some degree. Clementine has proven herself more than capable and definitely valuable as he puts it. My question is will he know where to draw the line. There's clearly going to be some scenarios where a short-ish, physically non-powerful girl with a sharp object will be overmatched.
