Random question: What would happen if the game WASN'T chess, but some other board game? Ignoring foreshadowing and symbolism, if you could make the board game different, how do you think Carver's dialog would change? Make an example. Can be as serious or silly as you want.

Looks like red is trying to take Asia. Must be some kind of fool.... everyone knows you can't take and hold Asia, let alone THIS early in the game. If they had any sense in them they would have tried to push down into Australia, and held that until they built up enough troops to launch an attack on Africa. Or at least shoot over into North America and try to get in on that action early.
