Clementine's Empty Bag theory

After playing episode 2, I noticed that Clem's bag was empty (Only had the 'WM' knife on it)
What about the water bottle? Probably she threw it away during the 5-day walk or dropped it along the way (Walkers probably attacked the group) but didn't have time to get it back

Any thoughts?

O_O really? really? lol ya she probably threw it away since it was empty but seems like a waste of a bottle if you ask me she could reuse it :P.

I have a question those of you who took the watch and didn't give it to nick was it still in the bag in your playthrough?

  • If that's the case it must have been an oversight by Telltale or maybe she zippered it in another part of her book bag

  • I didn't see it. I'm not sure it will even be reintroduced in later episodes. It seems it was implemented for that dole moment with Nick. Maybe Carver will take it or something?

  • In episode 1, she places it on her pocket.
But she fell onto a river and who knows how long she's been afloat so.. idk...

  • Telltale might have another chance for the player to give back the watch to Nick.

If Nick died on a player's playthrough, maybe a scene to give it to Luke?

    Oh wait, really?

    (Screams and breaks the wall)

But, the question is, Why wasn't it in her bag when Walter was.. uh.. doing the swirly-twirly 'thing' to the knife?

  • It would be crazy if TT made taking the watch a good thing first, then a bad thing on episode 3. What if someone at the camp likes Nick's watch and kills him or cuts his hand off for it.

  • My god Jon you have a deviously beautiful mind. It would be the most horrific bait and switch I've ever seen.....

What would happen to the people who kept Nick's watch?

  • Probably give it to Luke? (Unless Luke is doesn't make a return and died off-camera)

  • Yeah, I guess you're right.

Hmm, either it will get conveniently stolen or Clem can use it as a token of "trust" and give it to Carver to show her "loyalty". One of the reasons I love/hate my mind is that it sees multiple scenarios for everything.

ItsGabee also makes sense as Nick was Luke's friend

  • She either gives the water to the man or to Pete, though there is an option to "save it" even then which is ultimately pointless.

As was previously stated, likely an oversight.

  • The bag was empty when she was looking for the knife.

    She still has it

A bit off topic, but does anybody else think it might have been Kenny that went through Clem's bag?

He sends Clem away because he has to talk to Walter for a second, and moments later Walter has the knife.

Walter doesn't seem like the type to go looking through other people's stuff. Kenny on the other hand is mistrusting enough to pull that crap.

I know the knife was poking out of the bag, but still.

  • No, I don't think so, I don't think Kenny knew the knife was Walter's and Matthew's.

Maybe after Walter walked in, (After Kenny and him talked after seeing Bonnie) He saw the knife poking out and it looked familiar to him so he grabbed it.

After a thinking again about what you said, Maybe Kenny DID see the knife so that's why he talked with Walter after Walter gave the box of canned goods to Bonnie. But chances of that is pretty slim.

  • What about her pictures

  • Did you mean Lee's Picture?
    It's on her pocket.

    What about her pictures

  • Yeah, the picture and drawing are most likely washed out or destroyed from Clem falling in the river.

  • It's probably an oversight. In the beginning of Episode 2, Clem already had the binoculars in her inventory which I don't know where she got them.

  • Yeah, and what about the photo of Lee and drawing of Kenny's family?

  • It's still in her inventory. Except she thought it was a better idea to put the lighter, the water bottle, the watch (determinant), and the binoculars all in her back pocket :)

  • Actually, if you took the watch you can give it back to Nick before entering Matthew's station house on the other side of the bridge.

  • It was destroyed when she fell into the river.

  • The backpack probably has other zipers and pockets, maybe it was there.

It was destroyed when she fell into the river.

  • We haven't seen a use for it and it doesn't appear in her inventory later. We have no idea of it will even be present in Episode 3.

    Why its ultimate pointless?

  • Everything is in her back pocket. Disagree with this logic? Well screw you, because Lee put a freaking blowtorch in his.

  • fo shizz I bet clemmy boo has magic pockets like her Mr L
