Welcome to the community, man. That's actually a good question. I noticed the voice sounded different, but I still don't know who it can be. Maybe others here will know.

It's Carver the subtitles are the same green as when Carver talks.
He was probably saying it while hurt.

As for the voice, I interpreted it as being Carver's voice. It sounded similar and also fix the context of the scene.
