Horrifying Horrible Thoughts about Episode 3.{spoilers)

At first I assumed Telltale was running low on "plot cards" but after seeing Kenny's return and Carver's capturing the gang I doubt it.

I originally thought that Clementine might be attacked by an adult with bad intentions in a future episode. Then when I found out Sarah was fifteen but acted like a kid then I figured they might use that route instead it's safer but the same general uncomfortable feeling. But then I compounded it after meeting Carver. What if Clem or Sarah is assaulted by a guard. Carver comes to the rescue publically executing the man and giving a big speech on this family being "Safe from that kind of moral sickness" But it turns out he knew about the mans intentions and placed him in the right place at the right time so he could sacrifice a pawn to make himself look better.

While on the subject of unpleasant thoughts. Wouldn't it be just LOVELY if when Clem and the gang get to Woodbury... I mean Howes. They are marched through with Kenny and Lee at the front and they meet Carver's second in command. Our good old friend Lily Caul. What a reunion that would be.

Furthermore on unpleasant thoughts. I really want to believe Alvin {if you saved him} was frustrating sitting in a chair thinking about Rebecca and not just recently tortured but since this is Michael Madsen we're dealing with torturing Alvin seems the most likely.

I'm hoping that Howe's is more like Woodbury then it appears in the trailer. To get everyone to go with Tavia {and since Bonnie defaultly goes with Tavia and is now at Howe's so I assume everyone who went with her is with Carver} To be clearer since i'm drifting off to sleep. Bonnie is a guard so she knows about Carver's ruthlessness. But to get Shel and Becca you have to runaway from Roman's ruthlessness so either those two are living in fear or are being shown the "nicer" side of the community. Just like Vincent was jaded to go, Wyatt and Russel were hoping to find family, I'm hoping that Russel actually found family if it's there. Even if it's not much. Also would love to see Steph there as if Carver showed up and saved her.

Also imagine Clementine suffering through her first menstrual cycle. That's going to suck pretty bad for her.

I also hope that
1. If Kenny does in fact call me out for YOLOing Carver to save Alving I can call him out on risking his neck to save Ben.
2. For Clem to be able to ask people why the hell she has to make all the decisions for everybody.
3. Carver to do the classic empty gun trust test but with four options. such as "Shoot Kenny" "Shoot Nick" "Shoot Carver" "Shoot Self", And the suicide option which will fail just like the others will soften some of the group to realize how broken Clementine is becoming.
4. To be able to negotiate with Carver {for the groups good behavior since thats all they have right now to bargain with} and possibly gain some respect.
5. To meet some kids Clem's own age. Becca could hang out with Sarah {not that she would want to} But Clementine could use meeting with kids her own age. And Knowing TTG it would be prime material to reenact one of the most traumatic scenes from "Now and Then Here and There."

Picture this: Chaos is happening. Clementine is trying to escape with Sarah and others. Suddenly a kid pulls a gun on them to tell them to stop the kid's Clementine's age. Clementine tries to talk sense into him but Sarah panicked shoots the kid. Becca sees this and pulls her own gun and shoots Sarah. And Clem shoots Becca becoming the last girl standing and has to flee alone.

  1. For the season/series to end with Clementine on a high note. I've actually got no ideas how this could happen because I thought about Clementine bloody bruised but still alive arrives at Wellington and finds Christa. But then I remember that Christa probably blaims Clem for Omid's death and losing the baby.
  2. Getting some props from Rebecca for Saving Alvin and maybe getting to name a living baby this time.
  3. I hope at some point someone shares the old story about a person walking through a warzone and they saw one dead body and they felt bad, then they saw several and felt horrible, an so on till eventually they didn't even notice the bodies because they had become numb to all the death.

Also did anyone find the bucket scene in the ep3 trailer as depressing as I did.

And does anyone thing that the season will probably end with Clementine and the baby alone?

  • Steph is shown as a walker in ep5 of season 1 when Lee fights like a badass.

  • Oh geez. It does seem like puberty has already hit Clem, what with her voice and all, so getting her period doesn't seem out of the question for me.

  • That was not Steph, that was one of the contest winners that pre-ordered the first season of The Walking Dead.

  • Even though Carver is ruthless bastard {and voiced by michael madsen}
I doubt Telltale is confident enough to put Clem in a 28 days later type situation.
That said knowing Sarah is fifteen does not fill me with confidence that the same could be said about her.
Especially if the Developers are fans of "Now and Then Here and There" which had a teenage earth girl named Sarah Ringwalt who was accidentally abducted because she "Sorta looked like the target" and decided to put her in forced breeding. After her first "Session" she , as Carlos would say, Ceased to Function. Until she bashed her third "breeding partner"'s head in sliced off her hair and took off into the desert alone. Unlike NTHT I doubt Sarah's story would end as decently as her anime counterpart's.

  • I wonder if the Walking Dead Game, Comics, or Show will ever run into a Little Lamplight/Lord of the Flies situation. A society of children with their own laws and such.

  • That would be interesting... Clem alone with the baby... hmmm

  • Dat gun trust test!

  • I agree, the wooden walls of howes reminds me of woodbury and carver reminds me a lot about the governor he's dangerous but as of yet a lot of people who played the game can't tell whether he's the main antagonist, he's just manipulative and he probably has people in his group thinking that they're completely safe under his protection and he has the best of intentions. So it makes sense that he would get someone like Tavia to recruit people so there's a good chance that we get to meet the people from 400 days and I hope we see Lily too and Lily vs Kenny could turn out to be a very interesting aspect of this episode. Even though they probably won't do each other any direct harm they probably would be at each other's throats. I also think that clementine will try to get in with Carver's good side so she can plan an escape but we could also see Carver's group in a fight against another group and this group vs group battle also has good potential overall this episode has a good chance of containing some disturbing undertones, it certainly has the potential but we will see.

    Yes

And does anyone thing that the season will probably end with Clementine and the baby alone?

    No

  • I can actually see it playing out multiple ways including Lizzie from the show or Clem singing a lullaby that will at the end of the episode be used as the end credits theme.

  • Speaking of that empty gun trust test, it'd be amazing but horrible for Carver to make us choose between two people, but he shoots the one we opted to save and the other thinks we don't value them.

  • Thats actually more likely then giving clem a chance to opt out via attempted suicide. I've been expecting a reverse choice for ages now and the closest thing they've done is "Stealing the watch is a good thing"

  • I think a big reverse choice will be getting everyone to go to the camp in 400 days. We all thought that because the 400 days group are good people they'd help Clem, right? But what if they're all thugs for Carver?

  • Consider HOW you got them to join.

    Fear of Roman
    Searching for people
    Being betrayed and becoming cynical
    and Bonnie.

All Carver would have to do is allow Becca and Shel to go on scouting missions and they'd have the percieved freedom Roman denied them as well as Carver killed Roman so he saved his new "family".
Vince when made cynical by justin only cares about surviving so he'd be willing to do the hard things Carver needed him to do.
Carver would probably have helped Wyatt and Russel find Eddie and perhaps a family member of Russels winning their loyalty although i'm almost positive when Carver found Eddie he was dead but it gave Wyatt closure.

Thus he seals them to his family.
But we know for sure Carver isn't hesitant about killing people who are against him so if you didnt join tavia you might be dead. Or at the very least separated from each other by now.

  • What if TTG includes a character this season. Someone whose been around since the beginning of this season and keeps them around observing and learning from Clementine. And then in the final episode of this season this character who started off a naieve child and ends up the protagonist of Season 3 after Clem dies? It would have to be a character who is immature and who Clem can teach to survive because their own father wouldn't teach them.

  • I feel Stephanie is 100% dead. Either Shel or Roman killed her.

  • Clem confirmed for Season 3!

I like your ideas man. I hope Telltale's are just as good, otherwise they should take some notes.

  • One of the greatest things about TTG is that they take notice of their fanbase and they do their best to give their fans what they want but not in the way that they wanted. Take Larry, He was an asshole and the fans wanted him dead. But alot of those same people tried to save him in the meat locker when he had his heart attack because even though they wanted him dead they didn't want him to die like that. And Larry didn't even try to be redeemed. People who complained about Duck and wanted him dead {We call these people Psychopaths} for talking too much and being annoying. Then in Episode 3 they make him a loveable comic relief pretending to be robin with lee as batman and when you're all Aww.... They kill him. At this point TTG could use any of my ideas and still twist them in such a way as to make me regret ever saying them. And to me that's the mark of a good creative company. If I can come up with the idea of Clem choosing suicide over killing a friend and either way it was just a test. They will have Melissa Hutchison put so much pain and sadness in Clem's voice. And the animator's will render such heartbreaking expressions that I would hate myself for even thinking it much less posting it. TTG is the greatest at that.

I'm really curious of Clem's interactions with the characters from 400 days.

If Clem dies I imagine the season will end with Sarah echoing Clems words from the first episode. "Her name was Clementine and she taught me how to survive."

So there was no guard assaulting Clem or Sarah but Troy was definitely a pervert. So I was mostly wrong about the first prediction.

Nope no Lily but a guy that reminded me of Lee showed up {i think that was a typo but i'm taking it} partial credit.

Alvin was tortured score 1 for me!

I was right about it being Tavia's group but wrong about Bonnie knowing how ruthless Carver was and we didnt get to know the other 400 days people long enough to find out if i was right about them. Point

    No mensturating {yet}

Clem does comment about she has to do everything so point to me for that.
Kenny did not call clem out but then again i did say if.
Not gun test or secret test of character at all really

Clem wasnt the last girl standing.
Rebecca did not give clem mad props.
Clem can become numb but it wasnt the old story so no point.

I did... rather poorly actually i'm no seer. But I predict Episode 4 is going to be interesting.

"They're all going to die Clementine. No need for you to get pulled down with them"
