What ever happened to Shel & Becca's Parents?

edited April 2014 in The Walking Dead

It's kinda weird that nobody's brought this up. Why didn't telltale ever say what happened to there parents? I think there parents may have been abusive and Shel took custody of Becca which may explain Becca's sometimes hostile attitude, why Shel acts more like a mom than a sister to Becca and why they never talked about it. But what do y'all think?

  • I see what you did there...

  • Maybe Shel lived away from home, and Becca was visiting her when the apocalypse began. Shel might have been taking Becca back to their parent's house on Day 2 when they got caught in the traffic jam that Vince's prison bus was in during his story, and were unable to reach home due to walkers and not having a vehicle. So Shel and Becca probably don't even know what happened to their parents either.

I like your abusive theory. Feel like that could be a possibility.... Maybe the girl we see getting caught by zombies behind them outside the buss during Vince's episode in 400 days is their mother.. But who knows?

  • why does everyone assume children whose arent around in twd are because the parents were child abusers?!!?

  • I feel bad for Becca's mother. I have a feeling Becca was one of those children who never listens to their parents...

Their parents could of passed away by natural causes (heart attack, cancer, etc.), or something else like a car crash. Shel was left to care for Becca in their parents absence, which is why they were together. But, I also like the Becca visiting Shel & Shel taking her home when shit hit the fan theory.
