Crossing The Bridge bug

So yeah, The game wouldn't let me kill the zombie on the bridge the part on where you choose between the machete or the pole.
The game won't let me press the head so Clementine kept on dying... I mean... Come on! I wanna take some screenshots of Clementine being cute and badass... not horrible deaths... 
[The Game fixed itself, I wonder why that bug happened]

did you try restarting
Yeah, what Green said. Have you tried turning it off and on again? :P
Did you try blowing into the cartridge?
Did you fail at the QTE?
Did you try flipping the tape over to side B?

If you only tried the head, you should try attacking the other parts of the walker's body first.

I kept on retrying the scene and it fixed itself.
