Drinking the booze and smoking?

Do you think smoking or drinking (depending on whether you save Nick or Pete) will affect Clementine? I could see her slowly get addicted to cigarettes or booze if you chose to smoke or drink. What do you think?

  • Actually Pete doesn't let her smoke because he doesn't want Clem to get addicted but Nick let's you drink the booze so i could see Clem turning into a drunkard.

  • She only drank, Pete did not allow her a cigar. That probably won't affect her since it was like a week ago.

Pete didn't let her smoke, and isn't it way easier to get addicted to cigarettes than alcohol? She didn't even like it.

ya, and its only a sip. and she DIDNT like the taste.

  • Good idea, let's ban cigarettes and alcohol off the game and next everything else that could somehow offend someone for various stupid reasons.

  • I think her having a sip of whisky isnt going to make her an alcoholic

  • Onit a sit? Besides she was coughing after it, fucking Nick.

ya, and its only a sip. and she DIDNT like the taste.

  • I don't think I've ever met someone who's taken their first sip of alcohol and thought "THIS IS SO DELICIOUS, MUST HAVE MORE" nor someone who's puffed their first cigarette and thought "THIS SENSATION THAT MY LUNGS ARE BURNING IS PHENOMENAL, NEED MORE PACKS" never mind an 11-year old. I think she's OK.

  • I let her drink that Cup of Booze. Cause you know. Why not? Its the Apocalypse. Give that Girl a break lol. Might be her last Chance to taste it. I don't think she becomes depressed or something and getting into Alcohol for that Reason. She's 11 and doesn't even like it and Stuff. Naturally.

  • I drank beer by accident...

I hated it. One sip isn't going to make you addicted, especially when you hate it.

What hooks you on alcohol isn't the taste, especially not with whiskey. It's the sensation of being intoxicated. Clementine may be a small girl but one sip isn't going to do it for her.

  • Nah. It was a one time thing. Taking a sip or smoking one cigg won't immediately make you an addict for life.

I've tried both booze and smoke before out of curiosity, and the stuff still reviles me.

    Never tried them again.

  • Alcohol, especially the hard stuff, is an acquired taste. Clearly she hasn't acquired it, just trying to act like an adult.

  • With the shit that Clem was drinking, I think she probably got turned off alcohol forever, haha.

  • Still, Peter Joseph Randall, R.I.P

  • You can't smoke. You can only drink.

  • Yeah, drunkfish clementine's drinking promblem becomes the main plot of this season..

  • To be honest, I had her drink in my second playthrough just to hear Nick toast "to Peter Joseph Randall". But booze is scarce in the apocalypse so, even if I wanted to make Clem a drunken fuck-up, it would be more effort than it's worth.

  • You saw the still. So long as you have something like corn or potatoes you can make it. Although it's more useful as a disinfectant than something to drink.

  • Lol WTH XD you beat me to it haha. I was getting ready to make a thread about this :).

  • Getting corn or potatoes is pretty hard too. Any attempt to do agriculture would probably be frustrated by walkers, scavengers or both.

  • Sure... you drank it by accident...

  • Potatoes are actually pretty easy to grow. Corn would be a bit difficult, but for a place that was already producing it beforehand, it would be a cinch. The St. John's had tons of corn.

  • What I mean is that the ZA sucks and, in the time required to grow anything, you're likely to get shot or bitten several times.

  • This thread is fucking stupid. How can a little girl get addicted to cigarettes if she didn't smoke?

  • Hey, it was in a can and I thought it was soda. I was like, six years old.

Sure... you drank it by accident...

  • God's watching out for ya! He wants to make sure this forum doesn't die from lack of gifs and fun.

I mean, come on, this forum wouldn't be as fun without GOUSTTTT posting his gifs and derailing troll threads.

  • Anytime soon, someone's gonna come and say "I snorted my dad's coke when I was five, it was awesome".

  • Clem's going to need to develop a taste for whiskey and moonshine if only to help her blackout and forget all the cold-blooded murders I'm going to make her commit.

  • Er....I don't see anyone getting offended. This is a discussion over whether or not we think drinking will affect Clementine at all in the future. Lol.

Well, an addiction to alcohol is different than enjoying the sensation. You can be a very casual drinker without being addicted to alcohol. I am. :D

I like booze, but I can function perfectly fine for any period of time without it.

  • All kids experiment with smoking and booze.
    I know I did as a kid.
In fact I'm a recovering alcoholic!

If I have my way, Clementine ain't gonna be addicted to any that shit!
Sure shell have a drink on occasion, like my Lee did.
But she won't be hitting it hard.

As far as smoking, hell no!

  • It's not like alcohol or cigarettes are plentiful enough in the apocalypse that it's even possible to get addicted to either one. That, and of course it makes absolutely no sense to make the leap from having a taken a drink of something alcoholic to becoming a drunk. There's a long path in between.
