Why buy a DLC before the zombicalypse ? If I follow your reasoning It's like to buy a DLC for Fallout what goes during before the world was nuked. It doesn't make any sense because you can't call this DLC The Walking Dead if there are no zombies.
No... For some strange reason I'm not keen on watching a girl go through her normal day to day activities. I'm personally fine without watching a girl go to school, even if it would expand the character i'd still pass.

Why on earth would I want to play game about zombie apocalypse if it didn't have any zombies? Clem's story work because it has plenty of pain and suffering. Ordinary life of a little girl isn't all that interesting topic for a horror adventure DLC.
To tell you the complete honest truth I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
Even if along with the DLC's announcement, telltale openly announced/admitted that that DLC is nothing more than a useless uneventful pointless money grab. I'd still buy it. Wrong and sad and stupid, I know. But I'd still buy it.

I don't think it would be as interesting due to the fact that there were no zombies. I personally think something like what happens to Lily that actually has some aftermath is episode 3 or maybe where Christa went-if she did survive the raid-or what did actually happen to Kenny. Or maybe something like 400 days where you play as different people in the group before Clem came. Maybe an explanation of where the fuck Luke is. Or how is Molly doing? That's definetly worth exploring.
