Would you buy a DLC with Clementine before the zombie apocalypse?

Clementine soccer DLC, better than FIFA!

IKR. I've always wanted a point-and-click heist mission.

  • Well what would that be about? A childish Clem hanging out with Friends? Accompany her to School? To skip or not to skip dat Homework. Bookworm or Rebel? You thought the actual Game was tricky Stuff? Wait for THIS one.

  • I think Lee's story about the murder and his family would be pretty interesting as a DLC. And for those who complain about the lack of zombies, they could also switch between Lee's story and Clem-s in the 16 months they didn't show, with Christa and the baby. Then you get zombies, and also a little bit of before-apocalypse background.

  • First issue of the comics did show how Rick got shot, then he woke up in hospital after the zombie apocalypse. It wasn't much longer scene than the pre-apocalypse scene of Vince in 400 Days. We don't need to know more than that about the characters' pre-apocalypse history. The fact that Lee's (and Clem's) story started from the first moments of the zombie apocalypse underlines this. It doesn't matter who you were before, but what matters is who you become.

  • Well now I really want to see this.

A fantasy Alice-In-Wonderland-ish adventure made up in her own head, with the treehouse as the setting? Haha I recall the devs said she spent quite some time in her treehouse making up all sorts of tales and stories.

  • Big Pun is dead too! We just need Tupac for a bonafide undead rap group.

but biggie smalls is dead....ZOMBIE BIGGIE!

  • Pay $5 to watch Clementine playing with her barbies? I think not.

  • But Lee's story is a story about redemption, and that's why I think that part of his life would be interesting to see. But you're right, it's not NECESSARY, just thought it would be cool.

Just kidding, but was that a bug or did you do it on purpose?

  • Lee's story is about redemption, but personally I find it an important part of the story, that we don't know for certain what happened (and we learn only fragments from here and there) and Lee becomes the man the player wants to make him be.

If we knew too much about Lee's past it could affect to our choices and how we shape him in the future playthroughs. Besides staying away from pre-apocalypse stuff keeps the theme loyal for The Walking Dead, which is all about how the zombie apocalypse affects to ordinary people. It's not about who Lee and Clem were before the apocalypse, but what happens to their humanity and how their choices shape them.

  • I dont really want any of that, TellTale would say its just around a corner and not release it for half of year...

What's the point of playing a DLC that has NO zombies in it? In a ZOMBIE game? What a waste of money.

  • I know that, when I post with my Lumia, sometimes it double posts :)

  • I would go further than that so we can get Omid back.

I would buy anything with Clem in it tbh but I'd prefer a DLC of the 16 months Christa and Clem spent together.

  • How about the few days right before Lee finds Clementine when her babysitter turns and she's hiding in her treehouse. We can see how she got by then. That might be interesting.

  • I was thinking the same thing. If TellTale went that direction, the players' interraction would be mostly between Clementine and Sandra. Maybe they didn't see eye to eye on staying in the treehouse, or if Sandra eventually abandonded Clem and got attacked while searching the house. I think that would be an interesting little slice of the past.

  • Soccer? Don't you mean football?

  • I'm not European thanks.

  • In Europe, yes. Here in America, we have a completely different sport of the same name. So, as to avoid confusion, us "Yankees" coined the term soccer.

  • "Clementine and the 12 o'clock juice box theft"

Id play that shit all day.

  • Does it really matter? Officially it's association football and both shorter names come from the same official name. Association football was invented in 19th century England and both shorter names have been used since the early years of the Football Association (FA).

No, it never mattered. I was simply trying to dissuade our, "friend" here of the notion that one term for the same exact sport doesn't exist. I do appreciate your evidence, however.

Omid and Christa's "Vegas weekend" DLC ;)

  • The few months Omid, Christa, and Clem spent together would be a nice touch too :)

  • No thanks, you might play The Sims with characters who looks like the TWD ones.

  • It depends on the content, I suppose. With DLC stories, it could go both ways - as a little tidbit to satisfy the fans long enough till the next episode is released, or as a really solid tale that is worth its money. Most of the times, DLCs suffered from being the former case, a mediocre extra that's better off as a free extra in a special edition of the game.

With Telltale games, however, it's too soon to judge. 400 Days was good IMO. It had a lot of fun moments with a few neat twists here and there. So if they're going to do a prequel that gives the Clem fans that extra bit of Clem, I say go for it. I'd be interested in seeing how Telltale handle a prequel story, something that's rarely done well.

I would love clementine to meet Alfred from her school in the walking dead. Alfred is this kid that Clementine mentions about who is from her school.
