In your view, what is your best possible ending for Season 2 and plot of Season 3

I'm curious to know what others think would be the best ending to the season and your favorite theory for season 3. I'm struggling to get my head around where this season is actually taking us, but a few predictions can't hurt!

I think the season will progress with the friendship between Clem and Luke, and possibly leave Season 2 off with just them surviving. Season three would be quite interesting if this happened as I'd like to see more of Luke's character and his personality change as he takes up the challenge of protecting a child.

I hope that the 'Clementine's Immune' theory is incorrect as it would take away basically everything The Walking Dead stands for, although it would make for some interesting plots in season 3.

P.S. Sorry if their is another post like this, I couldn't find one but thought it'd be an interesting topic.

as he takes up the challenge of protecting a child.

like falling off bridges and being helped up by Clem after she finishes 3 walkers?

Really, as long as Clementine survives I think the 'main goal' of this series is still fulfilled, from the protective Lee POV I'm still stuck in anyway. I think she might be emotionally broken and of a fragile mental state, but so long as she lives through the ordeal, I'll probably be at least somewhat satisfied with any ending. Despite how much it would hurt to see Clem all alone again after everyone else inevitably bites the dust.

  • I had this idea for an ending a while ago:

A potentially poignant ending they could do would be to mirror Season 1's ending and have Clem venture into an extremely dangerous and hostile situation to save someone very dear to her. Only this time, both she and the other person make it out of there alive, thereby showing that Clem has not only learned from Lee's example of selflessness and heroism but has also surpassed him by surviving what he could not.

I'd like it to be a guardian figure for Clem. Someone like Christa would be ideal, assuming she's still alive. Building on the theme of redemption from Season 1, maybe saving this other guardian figure will let Clem get over her guilt and finally forgive herself for indirectly causing Lee's death.

  • I want to see some kind of resolution to Clementine's guilt and self-loathing. Bearing that in kind, redemption could be a powerful theme for the end of the season. Clem's struggle to make peace with her past decisions should be an important part of her character development.

As far as Season 3 is concerned, I have no idea what (if anything) is in store. It's pretty clear that Telltale is going to start having canon issues if they try to advance Clem's age much further. Whether that's a terminal dilemma, or something that can be hashed out with Kirkman is anybody's guess.

  • I think this season will end with Clem as the only survivor.

I also think the probability of Clem being immune is pretty low. If she is immune I can see TTG having her get bit at the end of this season then just when you think she's dead, she appears on a teaser picture for season 3.

On the skybound forums there's a theory that after the "all out war saga" in the comic people will live in spread barricaded communities with a barter system inspired by Rick. If this is true what if word spreads of an immune girl. She would be very valuable and fought over by the last of mankind since she would be mankind's future. My spin on that theory is way too wild and outlandish though.
