You know, the Mods have lives too, they don't just sit infront of the computer waiting for shit to happen on the forums.
but when a normal forum user does something they see as wrong like posting those pictures of characters being modded they are there straight away to close or delete the thread but when spambots constantly post watch this shitty movie for free millions of times the mods most of the time do nothing that is what people are annoyed with

Flag the thread for spam, basically when the mods come on, they wouldn't notice any spam threads since people always start a new discussion. Flag it, so the mods would notice when they come on.
The flag system is broken so it won't many any difference if you flag spam posts, the mods probably go back a few pages to check for spam threads then they log on.
The rule 34 people are getting less creative:

We always remove the spam when we see them, but we're just volunteers from all around the world, in different time zones. I've noticed the most spam has a tendency to come in around 3AM in my timezone, so I'm not always up to see it. I do remove it when I get up though, if someone hasn't already.
We know you mods are trying to do your best.
