Lee or Clementine?

edited April 2014 in The Walking Dead

Would you rather have Clementine survive season 1 or Lee?

Comments

  • Not a fair question.
I'd go with Clem though. Wish both could be around, but gotta go with the child.

  • Yeah, I prefer Lee but since I consider myself as Lee, Clementine is the right decision. Children come first.

  • Clementine and she already survived season 1.

  • Lee cause he is one black badass motherf**ker.

Clem, because Lee's reason to keep going was to protect her. So long as she is alive, he succeeded. Season 1's ending still had some sweet in the bittersweet because Lee had still prepared and protected her even after death. Basically, his goal is still fulfilled.

If Clem had died, it would have been just flat out bitter. Lee in season 2 would probably have no will to live.

  • Clementine.

  • True, I'd ball out my eyes even more if Clementine was the one to die in season 1.
Hope she makes it this season.

  • Hard Question, maybe Clementine :/

  • Uhhhh. Clem.

Clementine. Because Lee would not function or at the very least not be the Lee we know afterwards.

I don't know if he'd be suicidal, depressed or just wouldn't give a fuck about life and go hulk raging across apocalypse America but I think mentally and emotionally he'd just completely break.

  • Clementine... so far. Lee is determinately a murderer who goes on to murder another four people again (Larry, Danny, Andy, Lilly) out of spite and out of revenge. Clem hasn't really tread that path yet. She's still this innocent little girl with high morality... but who knows with later episodes?

You didn't choose lee because of the murderer thing ? I thought that he already proved that he was a good person to everyone, i guess i was wrong :(

  • Well, that's a matter of perspectives. Like I said, he could determinately be the biggest dickhole in the game and it still wouldn't feel out of place, being an ex-murderer after all.

Edit: forget what i said before, what i was trying to say is that if you play stupid (lee acting stupid) , the stupid is you, not him, understand ?
2 Edit: I'm not english so sometimes it mistook me a little.

  • Lee grown man who got his redemption in Clem

Clem young girl who never got a chance at life so choose Clem

  • Obviously you'd say that, because by wanting Cluke to happen, it shows how much concern you have for Clementine's well-being.

I can't for the life of me imagine playing Lee as an arsehole.

He will always be a good guy who looks out for his own for me. By the end its probably safe to say he is 'redeemed' for the murderer thing in my playthroughs.

As Lilly said, a guy treats him like shit and he tries to save his life. I bet who he killed was a dick.

  • Again, a matter of perspectives. Whether if an ex-con could be a good father and still be a selfish murderer or not is subjective to your interpretation. If you can't understand such a concept... then you're just an idiot.

  • I have to say Clementine. I love Lee but I think Clementine needs to be able to go on. It would have been hard of Lee to lose Clementine, maybe even more than it is for Clementine losing Lee but Lee was closer to death from old age, it just makes the most sense to save someone who's going to have more years they could live.

Per-lease. Murder is murder in any book. The reasons people could easily forgive Lee are because 1: he's nice to Clementine and 2. he's the main character of this game, therefore gamers are biased.

  • Look at the other comment again. I understand, but that's a perspective that almost no one thinks.

  • Nice to Clem ? He gave his life for her. That's more than nice.

  • "Almost no one thinks" you said... Huh. You're really an idiot if you think that no one on this entire planet of 6 billion people would think that an ex-con would do the things that he did in the game... Oh wait, there are a group of people who did think that it's possible - the game developers who made the choices in the first place. What a goddamn surprise!

Wait there ! I never said that everyone liked Lee, i said that he proved everyone that he was a good person (after the apocalypse) , but that doesn't mean that everyone likes him, and when I said that almost no one thinks, I was talking in the community, and even if I was talking in everyone that knows the game, you have to admit that most of the people like lee !

  • I get you. I really do hear what you're saying. Hey, I like Lee too. He's a swell guy. But facts are facts. It's not impossible to imagine Lee killing those guys I mentioned earlier. There was no indication that Lee is a saint who would magically be redeemed just because he met a little girl. That's stupid and cliche. Try and look at what I'm saying here.

  • -_-" Sorry. It's one of those tense days for me, and I'm not really opt for civilise conversations today. You kinda just triggered my temper with your "Dick" and "Stupid" comment (which you did write before I hypothetically labeled you an idiot, btw).

  • And look at the idiots who thumbed me down just because they disagreed with my perspective. Anyway.

It's alright, I understand. I'm not really a native English-speaker myself, being an Asian and all. Sometimes I try to make a point with proper English, but the point gets distorted because I wrote it the wrong way, and it just comes out looking like a trolling comment... And I'm not even really that interested in the act of trolling, tbh.

I know how you feel, sometimes is annoying because I want to write in English fast, and in the end my comment most of the times is not exacly what I was thinking.

  • It's okay to take it slowly. You're not competing with anybody... Though I could understand the need for competition on the wild plains of the Internet where everyone's like "your opinion is different hence it sucks". I get you. I felt that urge to just rapidly type in an argument a lot of times and it would end up coming out making things worse than ever.

But it's okay. You'll get used to it after roaming around the Internet for a couple of years.

We know exactly the kind of statement thumbing down a comment is setting. It's more than just 'disagreeing," it's to cowardly dislike a comment and get away with it behind the anonymity.

  • I prefer Lee as a character (don't get me wrong, I love Clem too) but he had to die over Clementine. As someone else said, I WAS Lee, and I would have given myself up for her everytime.

I can tell you I disliked this comment of yours:

    GTFO biased gamer.

I disagreed with the way you responded to him/her, and I'm telling you now. That makes it better?

It wasn't a personal attack either, mind you. Matter of fact, I enjoy most of your posts, but I strongly disagreed with that one.
