  • Tell my friends and/or family and ask them to shoot me.

  • I'd be like, "Well, shit."

  • Shock, panic, fear, depression, acceptance. Go out like a boss. Lee style.

  • "Ow. Fuck."

Good question! I just might use the time I have left to find people I tried to avoid all my life because of how much I hate them and then start chomping down (wouldn't it be neat if that spread the disease just like a zombie bite?).

Failing that it might be more humane to try writing a detailed account of what's going on in my mind as the infection runs its course and then ask others to copy my story so as to have some kind of reference for what to expect from other soon-to-be zombies. Also, it's a kind of impure altruism in the sense that the story would be about me so people would remember my efforts and perhaps, at bottom, the person I really used to be.

I'm actually very curious to know what people experience as they turn, but, as usual, ethics always get in the way of the purest research ;P

  • A noble cause (well, the second one anyway) but ultimately wasted. The infection in the Walking Dead doesn't slowly turn you into a zombie. It slowly kills you, then immediately revives you as a zombie. So your account wouldn't really be detailing the experience of turning, just the experience of dying.

  • Honestly, I think I would have the same reaction as Lee did.

Also, I would try to hold on for as long as possible and when it comes down to the last moments, if I have no one around then I'd finish it myself. I would not want to come back as a mindless monster and plus one less walker around, the better chance for some other people to survive.

    I wouldn't do anything.

I'd never live long enough to get bitten.

    I'm a bad survivalist.

  • I dunno, shoot myself ._.
Unless I have a little kid to rescue.

  • Wait until my arm gets tingly so I can give myself a stranger, then with the last of my strength leave a post here reminding you all that you're terrible posters.

  • The OP never specified that the zombie bit you on the arm. What if you got bitten on the dick?

Hmm, you're right. Detailing a fever doesn't seem that interesting after all, despite my morbid curiosity...

On the other hand, it'd still be an amazing opportunity to interview people and record their experiences as case studies if you got the chance. I wouldn't call myself a psychiatrist or anything, but I'd be the type of person who would try to talk to others and help if they need it. If there's anything I've learned from these types of games, it does no one any good to pressurize trauma.

Never mind, just forget I said anything

  • "Keep your finger off the trigger, boy!"

    Does that help?

  • Yeah, it helps too well.

  • I hear ya.

    Yeah, it helps too well.

  • Well, depends on the situation. If I got bit, I would help anyway possible to get people out of danger (similar to Lee rescuing Clementine). Then, I'd probably gun myself down, I couldn't ask someone to do it, that's too much to ask for.

  • Pretty sad that you'd force yourself to be remembered through sheer brutality. Do you think people wouldn't really care if you did something nice instead?

I'd probably react like how this guy does to that letter:
"Oh man...oh gawd, oh man, oh gawd, oh man oh gawd!"

  • Some go mad, some go braindead. Only the strongest stay sane and clear-headed. References, someone in the show in season 2 I think, got bitten and started going crazy from the fever or something(Not batshit crazy but just clearly not all....there....), when Duck gets bitten he seems to just go braindead. He stops talking and moving, he shows no signs of emotion, he seems to barely even be awake.

When lee gets bitten he is a complete boss about it and seems completely sane and able to speak the entire time, even in his last moments. What he did was pretty amazing considering what others in his position have done.

So most of the time they probably just slip away from reality, based on what we've seen before. Like taking sleep medication. Very strong sleep medication. If you try to resist it, you find trouble continuing to know what's going on and eventually pass out anyways. If you don't resist it, you pass out....only in this situation, you pass out for ever.

  • I'd probably break down and cry for a while then come to acceptance and try to do something fun with the last day or so of my life. Maybe make amends with anything I wanted to that I could so that I could die in peace. Also maybe try to at least cut off the circulation with something in hopes of slowing the process.

  • Same here. Would just hang on as long as possible and try to help out but once you feel it's going to be over soon it's time to let someone you trust pull the trigger.

  • i would play TWD until my death.

  • I would be completely fine, I have a very strong super powered immune system that would easily fight the infection caused by the bite. I would also take about 10000 antibiotics.

  • If i got bit i'd go out T-Dog style

  • I'd go to a halloween store and get myself a werewolf costume, just to mess with any survivors I come across after I turn.

  • "Dammit...Goddammit. Shit, time to go."

Depending on weather I can amputate it or not will also impact my reaction.

  • shoot myself in the head.xd

  • If on hand or leg: Amputation.

    If anywhere else: "FUBAR".

  • Hell yeah! T-Dog was my favorite character from the show.
