So confused right now..

edited April 2014 in The Walking Dead

With the third episode of season two presumably coming out relatively soon, I decided I would finally do my first replay of season one.

Anyway, at the end of episode four Kenny did not give me the bro speech and refused to come with me. I have no clue why. He came with me on my first play through, and I hadn't even agreed with him on everything. On my current play through, I went out of my way to agree with him on nearly EVERYTHING. The only two things that I did that he may not have liked were saving Ben's life and convincing him to shoot the boy in the attic. Were those two actions really enough to cause him to turn on me? Seems bizarre. We've been good friends for the entire season thus far..

  • Wel you see, ALIENS,
    hope it helped

  • Yeah.. that's the only plausible explanation I can think of as well.

  • I sure didn't :)

But no, I myself saved Carley because she had a gun and a good aim, whereas Doug was... Doug. There isn't much electricity in the zombie apocalypse.

    ....Why

  • But....Doug is....Doug

  • Well on my first play through anyway, saving Carly was what I would logically do if I was in that situation in reality. She had a gun, and I was closer (literally) to her. In an effort to save both of them saving Carly first makes more sense. She actually sort of had enough time to turn around and shoot at the walkers trying to pull Doug out the window.

    ....Why

  • Does anyone have an answer for why this happened though? Does it seem odd to anyone else? That is all I am wondering..

  • She coulda stomped that walker

  • Did you kill Larry? Because it's VERY important. Otherwise it's probably a glitch.

  • Because Kenny's a jerk.

Seriously, though, you probably just did something differently or the game glitched out.

  • i'm pretty sure if you save ben then that's enough for him to not give you the bro speech :P

  • Didn't she have on high heels? That may not have gone so well if she did.

    She coulda stomped that walker

  • I saved Ben in my first play through as well and Kenny still came with me.

Yeah, I helped him finish off Larry.

I do think it was a glitch though. Shortly thereafter, my game crashed and the entire episode became unplayable. It was some sort of save device glitch.

  • hmmm you must have done something, did you not invite him to you're birthday party?

  • And? Besides Duck, she was the stupidest person in the group. I still like her though..

  • I had a similar playthrough to what you describe, and I guessed that Kenny didn't like having to shoot the boy in the attic. Either that, or your game glitched I think.

You did kill Duck though, right? Pretty sure that's a big part of the determination. Ben? Not so much.
