Hmm... well if I remember correctly, he said he was in band or he went to go watch his school play... so I think he might be the type of student to get straight a's. Maybe...
He might've been a bit awkward when talking to people. Also, since he mentioned before in the game that he was in a band, he probably really liked being in music class and could've been a band geek or something.
He had a buncha friends, so he couldn't be THAT awkward.
I mean, I'm pretty awkward and have no friends IRL.

I think for his first couple of years he was socially akward like you said ValerieVanilla and decided to join a band to not become as akward

Ben was a nerd and the only reason he didn't get stuffed into lockers was because he was too tall.
He was in a lousy school band and probably the awkward guy among his fellow students.

I can totally picture it.
Ben was the nice guy a tiny bit shy and awkward, always following his best friend Travis who's more outgoing and sure of himself(after all, his dad was special forces !!). He probably had a decent small circle of friends thanks to Travis and was pretty unhappy, he had good relationships with his teachers as well.
