Not about living or dying it's about the chaos send a message disrupt the established order. Good guys actions are restricted by morals while Villains have no restrictions they don't hide their faults pretending to be something their not. Tobi said Good guys and Villains die so make a decision die like a good guy coward like ben or die like a villain like Governor(or Lee a murderer) be a badass.
