Something I was thinking about
So, since there are only a few kids left in the TWD universe, what would happen when Clem gets older and all of the current adults die or whatever? Clem would seriously be one of the very few survivors left and it would actually make the game a bit boring with so few humans and tiny interaction.

You know they could repopulate, you know what I mean?
I think there are more people then we think...
she'd be an adult by then so repopulate.
Yeah I suppose they could do an Adam & Eve kinda thing where they constantly repopulate over and over again lol.
lol
I honestly think there are roughly 500-2000 people per state or so, (well depending on the state size) and that'd make it roughly 25,000-100,000 in the entire united states and there's always re-population, although some of it would fail, a good amount may turn out successful.
Just look at Rebecca, she already has a headstart on repopulating.
Well it'd take a long time but if one mother has two babies then those two children eventually become adults and find their mate then making two children and so on. Eventually it'd make a hell of a lot of people, although the virus is never going away so there'd be a lot of death too
Nice one.
Repopulate until somewhere down the line an immune child comes up.
Not that Kirkman would make that possible, but realistically that's probably how human beings would go about it.
They'll do it like they do it Africa make ten of them so at least one survives
Na there has to be more people than 500-2k 0 er state (average). Even if 95 perc of people died per state (average) we are looking at about 300k each. If I've done my math and estimations correctly.
Number of deaths: 2,468,435 in 2010 (http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/deaths.htm). That's a normal year. The amount of deaths would sky rocket from that, and the infant mortality rate would not look so good. After a few years we're not going to be looking at very many people left.
They probably wouldn't have a game at that point. It wouldn't me very identifiable and far from relatable if they did. 1 of two thinks would happen. We would fall and crumble completely. Return to a lower spot on the food chain and regress to primitive standards. Or we would cope and adapt. Since we are intelligent creatures I lean towards the latter.
Which is why I gave the huge percentage of 95 percent.
EDIT: with out doing the math I can confidently say that even if we were to jack it up to 99 percent we would be well above 2000.
I wasn't trying to disagree with you, I just worded my post poorly. When you consider how many people there are now, 300k is extremely low. I was just providing some pre-apocalypse numbers to show how bad it'd be during the apocalypse.
Edit: Trying to add some perspective.
Ah ok, after rereading I see where I led myself astray haha.
It was my fault. After reading your post I reread mine and realized I could have done a better job wording it. The important thing is that we're all clarified and on the same page now.
Intelligent, but also intolerant and highly warlike. I agree that humanity would adapt and rebound, but it wouldn't be pretty. Of course, humanity rarely is.
Feudal systems, constant warring, return of gods in human form. It would be a huge step back, much likely back to medieval-like periods. But no doubt better off than chimps in the forest and also better off than the "chicken with its head cut off" stance we see in the game But yes, it would be damn ugly.
and rain dances!
Hahahaha that just made my night!
lol I couldn't keep it to myself.
