Im Gabe, I live in the Philippines, I'm a Directioner and I draw anime, I dream to be a succesful author and a manga illustrator. I'm 13 and going to be 14 on November 8.
My family came from Byelorussia to Latvia in the USSR times and decided to stay there. My mother is Byelorussian and my father is a mix of almost every nation in the area (Ukrainian, Russian, Byelorussian and believe it or not even a bit tribal). I consider myself to be a Byelorussian-Latvian and I have relatives in Russia but ironically I don't know Byelorussian and Russian is my native tongue. I'm glad to see another Russian on the forum.
Yes, from my mother's side. People think Siberia is only a land of prisons, when there are towns and beautiful woodlands and tundras. I guess it's just stereotyping. Where does your family come from?
My Name Is Richmond I lived from Philippines Quezon City my ambition is computer programming my hobbit Is Gaming I'm 14 my school is manuel a.roxas High school 3rd year
Because it's how it is, religion is taking over all of us, but now, atheism (I'm also an atheist and I'm very tolerant to all religions) and… more democracy change your statement slowly, and the countries base their morals more and more on society instead of religion, hope that answered it
I dislike that in order to serve my country, I have to swear an oath to a god that I don't believe in. Every day, when I go to my High school, I have to stand up and pledge my allegiance to a god that I don't believe in, this is not fair for me or any other people that don't believe in the Christian god. Thanks, though.
I guess it has something to do with certain religion being prevalent in the society. Besides, governments aren't really based on religion. E… morexceptions might include countries like Iran. As of forcing religion upon you, well, I don't have such experience (government forced, at least) myself. From what I hear it happens in America, just as I said, because of religion's (Christianty) prevalence in society, but don't take my word from it, the people I heard it from are American atheists on YouTube.
Damn, my country (i.e. school) is really secular. People vocally show their belief in God, if they do believe, but that's it. Nobody is forcing you. Our army's oath is based of old Soviet one, so no mentions of God in there. I'm sorry for your situation, man, having to do something you don't want.

I wouldn't even classify those monsters as people, let alone Muslims. It is horrible what they do, and they have caused massive stereotype on the Middle Eastern population that I hope will be resolved. My friend, Sercan (a Turkish Muslim), lent me an English version of the Quran, and even though I was not able to read how it's supposed to be read (in Arabic), it said nothing about martyring the innocent. So not only are those men monsters, they are also blasphemous to their own religion, that they profess to follow. I've never, in my life met a Muslim, who believes that these people are justifiable, and I spent a good amount of years in my life in the Middle East (Bahrain and Turkey).
They are not even HUMANS who are claiming to be Muslims -_-
I mean who the **** blows up people in the name of GOD
In QURAN It is clearly written
"whosoever killed an innocent person it shall be as if he had killed all mankind"
I'm Joseph and I just turned 20 a few weeks ago. I was born and raised in New York City. I'm currently studying automotive technology but I don't think it's my passion (STILL looking) :c
I was in the Middle East and I barely saw an aggressive Muslim. The media is fucking with people's head, and when you spend time in other countries, you see that clearly.
You cleared a lot to me, now I see the peaceful side in Islam, it's just that the only Arabs I see are terrorists and violent bastard kids who throw rocks at people, not like you.
Sorry for offtopic, but with this thread I officialy received a thousand likes!
P.S: Couldn't help but notice that people post here like: "Hello, I'm John, and I'm an alcoholic.". Don't hate, it's just a joke.
In my College (Karachi, Pakistan) we have students belonging to more than 5 religions including 10+ Atheists but we tag along very well and nobody gives a shit if our friend is an Atheist or a Hindu because we are friends by heart not by religion!!
I have a general question, why do governments base there society off of a religion? America bases its system off of Christianity, Israel off… more of Judaism, Pakistan off of Islam, but my question is, why? I'm an atheist but unlike most atheists, I am very tolerant of religions and find it interesting to research them. But basing an entire government off a religion is excluding those in our countries that don't believe in that religion or have no religion at all, it just doesn't make sense to me. Whenever I go to school, I am forced to pledge my allegiance to a god that I don't believe in, this is not fair, and it will cause friction within their own government, along with other governments throughout the world. Sorry, I'm babbling. I just took a religion and governments class, so I've been trying to find a vent.
and also there are special set of rules for them which are for their own ease like instead of Islamic Study they can opt for another subject and they are allowed to practice their own religions as long as it is not hurting anyone and nobody is offended by it (same implies for Muslims and other religions too)

That's what i am Saying!!
There are Bad people and good people in every country and in every religion. The whole nation can not be judged by some violent acts of the Maniacs.. People should learn a degree of mutual respect for other countries and religions..
That's Utter Bullshit!! I am a Muslim and Islam teaches Peace!! not blowing up people for the sake of Heaven -_-
you can learn this from Qu… moreran or from Muslim History and Scholars !! Search for "Talibans and Dr Zakir Naik" on google and you will find your answers !!
I'm sorry that you are being forced, too. I'm trying to either get a career as a UN Peacekeeper or as a Storyboard Writer, either way I'll be happy with either. At least a medical degree will look amazing on job applications! Good luck, I hope you find your career that you are interested in.
Have no choice but to go, nearly all the males in my family are all doctors. The ones who are not doctors still have been to medical school … moreand work in the field of medicine. It's a tradition, it's a way of giving back, it's something our religion has instilled in my family.
You should talk to him !! I recommend you to watch "3 Idiots " This is an Indian Movie and it is outstanding .. The concept is really nice you should watch it and also make your father watch it !!
This can change his point of view
That's great that you decided to forge your own path through life. If I tried that, I don't think it would workout as well. My father is very strict when it comes to me and my older sister's future.

Ipatuloy mo lang yan! Magtatagumpay ka rin.
You did, it's just I don't like how governments will try to take away the rights of people due to their own belief. Thanks.

Can't you somehow unbaptise yourself or something? Sorry for being ignorant on that matter, they don't teach us about Christianity.
I am 23 years old, live in Australia but originally from Zimbabwe and I am at uni studying nursing.
