edited April 2014 in General Chat

Yep, you guessed it! This will be the main topic on everything, big or small, being related to the Elder Scrolls franchise. From Arena all the way to the most recent installment of the Elder Scrolls Online. Feel free to share thoughts about your favorite quests, characters, literally anything (as the title suggests) about the precious moments you have had in an Elder Scrolls game. Have fun!

  • Hell yeah, dude! Screw the Aldmeri Dominion for starting a war with the Nords of Skyrim just because they worshipped him! He was badass as Tiber Septim too, haha.

  • Sigh I've been trying to get into Skyrim again, but my current computer kind of sucks, and I don't have the willpower needed to reinstall my endless list of mods.

  • I hear ya, 'tis a sad thing to experience. Did you try lowering your graphic settings or do you have too many graphical mods installed?

  • Nah, the only graphics mod I use is a lighting one, nothing taxing on that account. I have a couple hundred gameplay enhancing mods plus SkyRe, (which is getting a sequel :D) a gameplay and perk overhaul that I've quite enjoyed. I do lower my settings, but it is sad not to experience the countryside in the best way possible.

One of these days, I guess.

Agreed. If only all types of computers can run Oblivion and Skyrim equally, that would certainly be the PC gamers' dream! I too, don't even think that I've the willpower to uninstall a lot of graphical mods in order for Skyrim to run smoothly (on my somewhat decent comp), sort of similar in your case. :P Also, I looked into 'SkyRe' and it does sound epic!

In Solstheim? There is a way to make your own spiders...

EDIT: You can get MIND CONTROLLING SPIDERS. Screw Vampirism or necromancy, what's more evil than hurling spiders at your enemies?!? >:D

  • I usually go the warrior path like in the other Elder Scrolls games with my characters firsthand, exploring random caves and such with this particular one instead of going to Weynon Priory first.

Nice. What do you plan to do with him/her?

  • Bump in the name of Kvatch! Haha, anyways, I just wanted to revive this topic from the dead to attract any more Elder Scrolls fans. Also, a thank you to the previous users who have commented in this discussion!

  • *an **unkillable, essential** corrupt bitch.

Shame on you, Bethesda. I miss the days when I could walk up to a bloody demi-god who was essential for my character to save the world, beat the crap out of him, and trap his soul inside Azura's Star >:D

  • I had this idea for quite a long while now, to do some sort of trivial game for this thread, and I've decided that I'll actually follow through with it! Basically I ask the question, you guys provide the answer! It's simple, really!

Question #1: What is the answer given to the Ancient Black Door in the Elder Scrolls: Oblivion? (I won't say anything about where the door leads to or what quest that it's a part of)
  • "Sanguine, my Brother".

If that's correct there should be bonus points for giving the question too ;)

Random anecdote: College of Winterhold quest in Skyrim, where Winterhold is attack by spirits, I think. Anyway, you have to go outside with the professors while what's his name - Ancano - fiddles with the Eye of Magnus, and battle said spirits. At the end of it, as I'm going back along the stone walkway over the sea to the college, there's a chicken casually strolling along it coming from the college. Following it, I watched it enter the village and sit down right in the middle of the main street. I kind of wished it was part of the quest :P

Ding, ding, you got it! You are awarded with your desired bonus points!

EDIT: This little trivia game is mainly for testing your knowledge about the Elder Scrolls universe, heck, I'm rusty myself when it comes to the lore. So I won't do points for the most part.
  • Haha, nice moment there!

P.S., I don't think there were any spirits that attacked Winterhold, except for the occasional dragon attack. :D

Question #2: Does the 'Adoring Fan' make an appearance during the Elder Scrolls: Skyrim? True or false?
  • Wahoo :D don't worry about the points, I meant it as a turn-of-phrase kind-of-thing.

I quite like trivia quizzes, so getting it right is award enough

I checked it out and you're right, they weren't spirits, they were Magic Anomalies. It's the quest 'Containment', here's a link in case you're interested: elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Containment

How do you get rid of spoiler warnings?

Anyway, I'm going to say False.

I remember him from Oblivion. I'm pretty sure I accidentally left him on the other side of an Oblivion gate, come to think of it. Wonder how he's getting on.

You gotta leave at least 1 space in your link, otherwise it won't show for the time-being.

Technically, it is true. Why you may ask? You can find a journal of a certain 'Jester' detailing that he was the one who posed as the Adoring Fan. Thus leading the Grand Champion out into the Great Forest and slitting his throat.

Is your mind blown yet? :D

    False, I think.
