Nah. Luke is indeed a guardian, but I wouldn't say he is the "New Lee" unless you consider him being a guardian as being Lee.
No. His dynamic with Clementine is different. He is not there to be her caretaker.
Lee can't be replaced.
I think we've talked about this like twenty times already lol. No offence to the creator of this thread...
Luke is a tottally diferent person, not only phisically, you can also see it in his personality (Not saying they couldn't be friends though). The only thing they have in common is Clementine.

Ah, welcome. Luke here is considered more of a brotherly-figure at best. At worst, he's someone some people hate due to his potentially growing feud with Kenny over Clementine. Is TellTale trying to make him the new Lee? I don't think so. I think Clementine saved his life more than he has for her.
I think Luke is more of a brother to Clem-Clem. Lee was a bit of a father figure and also, no one can replace Lee

Luke and Clem have more of a Brother/Sister thing going on, where each treats the other as a partner more than an authority figure. Clem and Lee had a Father/Daughter type bond where Lee was Clem's caretaker.
I haven't seen anything from Luke to even think he is a guardian figure.
If they are they are doing a pretty poor job.
I thought so at first, but after episode 2 it seems like they're playing the two off as siblings. I like the idea of that, since it won't do a repeat of the father/daugher thing in season 1 [and The Last of Us had that theme too remember]. Besides, there can only be one Lee...even if Pete came very close with that facial hair of his lol.
Luke just doesn't seem like a daddy to me, or that he's been at that point in his life that he wanted kids of his own, at least to how Lee did anyway. I could be totally wrong though.
He's not hated for the growing feud as much as he is hated for that. You know which thing I'm talking about.

No he dosnt but I dont think he's trying to.
I kind of feel bad for Luke (in fan terms) he isnt trying to replace Lee and isnt instigating any of that Cluke stuff yet people associate all that with him. Luke hasnt done anything bad so far.
Blasphemy, I don't think TTG is trying to do anything like that I just think they are trying to make a likeable relatable character, my only problem is it seems they are trying too hard.
If anything, I think they are trying to make Luke the new Clementine. They want him to be that character whose companionship we care about and whose relationship we try to positively build throughout the season.
I completely forgot about that. Thanks for reminding me.
Back to therapy.
I don't think even Luke is trying to replace a guy he never even met, he's just trying to take care of Clementine in his own way.
